For years, a clandestine U.S. intelligence team had tracked a man they knew was high in the leadership of al Qaeda an operative some believed had a hand in plotting the gruesome 2009 suicide attack in Afghanistan that killed seven CIA officers.
Their pursuit was personal, and by early 2014 the agency had the target under tight drone surveillance. We literally had a bead on this guys head and just needed authorization from Washington to pull the trigger, said the source.
Then something unexpected happened. While agents waited for the green light, the al Qaeda operatives name, as well as information about the CIAs classified surveillance and plan to kill him in Pakistan, suddenly appeared in the U.S. press.
Abdullah al-Shami, it turned out, was an American citizen, and President Obama and his national security advisers were torn over whether the benefits of killing him would outweigh the political and civil liberties backlash that was sure to follow.
In interviews with several current and former officials, the al-Shami case was cited as an example of what critics say was the Obama White Houses troublesome tendency to mishandle some of the nations most delicate intelligence especially regarding the Middle East by leaking classified information in an attempt to sway public opinion on sensitive matters.
By the end of Mr. Obamas second term, according to sources who spoke anonymously with The Washington Times, the practices of leaking, ignoring and twisting intelligence for political gain were ingrained in the administration's national security policy. presidential election last year.
On repeated occasions during the Obama era, high-level sources and some lawmakers lamented to The Washington Times, the presidents inner circle ignored classified briefings and twisted intelligence to fit political goals.

Or “Why ineligible persons should not be allowed to usurp the office of President”
Obama demonstrated his complete incompetence again and again. By any objective measure he was an absolute failure at the presidency. Finally he was forced by his weakness to resort to tactics plainly illegal to hold onto any semblance of effectiveness. As Trump’s extremely high level of competence becomes more and more manifest Americans will shudder at the foolishness of electing the know nothing Obama.
If the ‘Rats try to impeach Trump, all of these people should get 3 a.m. SWAT raids and severe prosecution.
“Political Gain”: the only thing these corrupt politicians care about.
THROW THE BUMS OUT!!!
I waited 9 - NINE - years to see anything with a grain of criticism printed by the media about obama.
What the media has done to Trump will take a lifetime to ever make up.. and what they allowed obama to do to our country will take a prison sentence to even half help.
But but Maxine Waters supported him!
I hate using anything but work history to be used as a barometer for POTUS competence.
I wouldn’t hire Obama to run a gas station.
Honestly, are you going to trust the judicial system to properly punish these criminals?
The illegal things the kenyan did are breathtaking. And what is really scary is how about half the country is just fine with it.
He wasn’t incompetent.
He succeeded in corrupting every agency of the federal government just as he set out to do.
Much like Lyndon Johnson.
I don’t know about you, but I had obama figured as one who knew no bounds as to what he would do for himself and against our country. I had him figured as one who considered “illegal” to mean “anyone but obama” and the law was for everyone but him.. I had him figured as someone who had his eye on ANY criticism and took it seriously enough to get on TV the next day and do his charming way of tearing into anyone who dared. I had him figured as one who fit right in with the establishment with his condescending way of putting down just about everyone. I had him figured as one who had no good intentions for this land I call the greatest... and his anti Military, anti Christian, anti United States.. he spread on foreign soil... in speeches that would cringe anyone who loved this country.
But the media and the left/dems... all adored him and bill clinton.. which speaks volumes about who they are.
And now we have President Trump and I am proud to have been in his corner the first time I saw him speak! Orin Hatch said a mouthful 2 days ago!
It’s been a good week and I hope the Trump family has a great Christmas in warm Florida!
This person, Obama, was playing politics and looking for beneficial public opinion, while helping Al-Qaeda kill Americans.
That’s treason in the highest degree.
I even doubt that it’s about political and/or public opinion. I believe that he didn’t want to kill his own kind, and was sympathetic to the Al-Qaeda and ISIS “brothers in arm”. Obama has always been a Muslim.
BTW, where it Bin-Laden’s body? Let’s ask his national security team about that mystery... oh, wait...
BTW, in that video, I doubt that his target were the women on-board... if you know what I mean...
Yes to everything you wrote. Hatred for America drove his agenda.
Or Why ineligible persons should not be allowed to usurp the office of President
You figured him out correctly. This Obama had the biggest, most open and festering sore chip on his shoulder. Rejected from BOTH parents, his childhood, while comfortable financially, was pretty sad. The one man who gave a damn about him turned him over to a commie Pedo at age 10. For mentoring from a real black person.
He grew up with malignant narcissism and a lot of rejection both personally and racially, making him hard and cold and extremely sensitive like a sore tooth. Even his own lovers came to cruel deaths without a single regret from him. Cross him, youre done. Much like his equally sensitive, deranged Mans Country pal Rahm Emanuel. He learned to hate the USA, to which he has never belonged, from childhood. No one in his family gave a damn about this country.
Only the most truly ignorant of citizens would ever elect someone like him as their countrys leader.
