Former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon said he believes former President George H.W. Bush is a “pervert” while condemning the Bush family for speaking out against President Trump.
“I really detest them,” Bannon said in an interview with Vanity Fair. “I mean, the old man is a pervert. He’s a pervert. Grabbing these girls and grabbing their asses?”
The former White House official was alluding to recent reports of several women accusing the former president of sexual assault, to which he has publicly apologized.
“To try to put people at ease, the president routinely tells the same joke, and on occasion, he has patted women’s rears in what he intended to be a good-natured manner,” a spokesperson for Bush explained.
As for George W. Bush, Bannon said: “The Bush presidency is the most destructive presidency in history. James Buchanan included. It’s not even close.”
“I haven’t even gotten to 9/11. I mean, 9/11! Think about if 9/11 had happened on Trump’s watch,” he continued, referring to the terror attacks on Sept. 11, 2001. “We would have gotten 100 percent of the blame by the Bush guys. And they said, well, we just got here. What do you mean you just got here?”
Both former presidents have been openly critical of Trump’s administration, and the elder Bush admitted to voting for Clinton in the 2016 election.
I was around in the 1960s and the 1970s, and I can assure you that it was not considered acceptable for a man to grab a woman’s bottom. Perhaps it was in low class circles. I don’t know, but I know it was not for most of society.
Please don’t take one woman’s take on the era as reliable data.

Exactly. That is why the Bushes are dead to me. This proves they were against us all along. No different than the Clintons. Both families did great harm to our country.
Bannon’s just jealous because he’s too much of a slob to get away with it; he probably has to settle for raw chickens.
I beg to differ; I am what you would call an old man now and that type of behavior has never been acceptable.
I was raised by my Father and Mother to be a GENTLEMAN at ALL TIMES with women.
Had my Father or Mother ever been told of that type of behavior on my part, they would have beaten me until I couldn’t crawl.
My parents not only taught me and expected me to be a man of chivalry, they DEMANDED it.
The Bushes were good but limited political appeal.
Bush II barely won in 2000 and 2004.
Attacks on women are horrible sins but they are different (different, not lesser) than perversion.
I am not condoning either, but I think using accurate terminology is important.
A excessive and sinful expression of a natural urge is not the same thing as the perversion of that urge into an unnatural sin.

I would have gotten slapped or worse for grabbing a woman like Old Man Bush did, even in 1988.
As for these sickening defenders of the Bush clan, remember that father and son alike were such awful stiffs as president that by the time they finished betraying their voters the Dems were winning huge majorities.
And now they actively support the enemy party with their votes?

Yep, I remember that very well because I was stunned to hear him say that. And I also remember his love and adoration of China.
And it takes a real idiot to defend a 90 year old pervert who was the head of the CIA, was a bad President, and who has helped push the One World Government concept.
Stop standing up for a man who doesn’t deserve it.
