Former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon said he believes former President George H.W. Bush is a pervert while condemning the Bush family for speaking out against President Trump.
I really detest them, Bannon said in an interview with Vanity Fair. I mean, the old man is a pervert. Hes a pervert. Grabbing these girls and grabbing their asses?
The former White House official was alluding to recent reports of several women accusing the former president of sexual assault, to which he has publicly apologized.
To try to put people at ease, the president routinely tells the same joke, and on occasion, he has patted womens rears in what he intended to be a good-natured manner, a spokesperson for Bush explained.
As for George W. Bush, Bannon said: The Bush presidency is the most destructive presidency in history. James Buchanan included. Its not even close.
I havent even gotten to 9/11. I mean, 9/11! Think about if 9/11 had happened on Trumps watch, he continued, referring to the terror attacks on Sept. 11, 2001. We would have gotten 100 percent of the blame by the Bush guys. And they said, well, we just got here. What do you mean you just got here?
Both former presidents have been openly critical of Trumps administration, and the elder Bush admitted to voting for Clinton in the 2016 election.
It is when they do the bad by the standards of today, today.
Then, if the guy is so gone, stop giving him public appearances and opportunities to be bad.
Leave him in the publics eye and expect some truth to come his way.
“Socially acceptable” does not mean it was endorsed.
Beating your wife up until the 1950’s was not endorsed but it was socially acceptable.
Drinking and driving was not endorsed but it was socially acceptable.
Covenants, codes, and restrictions attached to title deeds that segregated neighborhoods were sometime endorsed AND they were socially acceptable.
It’s how things were.
And men used to grab women’s butts, they used to make wolf calls, they used to say crude things, and the prevailing wisdom of those times was to say, “Boys will be boys!”
It doesn’t mean I approve. It just means I don’t judge older people by newer standards.
You know the newer standards?
The ones that say that homosexuality is socially acceptable and endorsed? Or that white people are forever guilty of slavery? Or that the people in the South MUST hate themselves for the acts of the Confederacy?
Or that America is always wrong? And that our Constitution unfairly oppresses dictatorial leftists?
Yeah, if a man who fought for my freedom and risked being eaten alive by the Japanese played a little grab ass then don’t mind me if I’m not going to judge him by the standards of modern day bull dyke feminists.

[President George Bush, addressing the General Assembly of the United Nations, Feb. 1, 1992:
It is the sacred principles enshrined in the United Nations charter to which the American people will henceforth pledge their allegiance]
GOOD HEAVENS! Never saw that before. No we won’t Poppy Boosh - we will NOT join your United Nations NWO. YOU may suck up the eventual Antichrist but WE will NOT.
Maybe you'll get lucky and the Boosh clan will run Jed again. Or may they'll run George P.
Ya know, I hope they do, so millions of deplorables can ring his bell too.
No more Bush's, ever.
I think the disparity in age ads the perverse factor.
Remember even the democrats were for deporting illegals until bush came along and made it fashionable to argue that they stay here unmolested by the law. Also, Bush W ran the budget up out of control. He was better than the democrat, but thats not saying much.
Hey if old man bush can make critical comments about the current republican president then steve bannon has every right to call him out. Its not like bush was ambushed. He asked for it. Are you saying the old man can dish it but cant take it?
Just a suggestion on my part, but I think this comes from a sense of entitlement which exceeds actual power.
With all Bush Sr.'s pedigree and position, he thought women should be more attracted to him.
They weren't.
Hence, he started grabbing.
He was disappointed in the way that reality reacted to him and he took matters into his own "hands."
Bannon brought two disgusting terms to politics?
BTW if anyone finds the video of GHWB saying that please ping me. I’ve done a couple searches but haven’t found it yet.
Maybe it’s saved somewhere. I hope it is.
There is a form of dementia that exhibits aberrant sexual behavior. My 100 year old father is in a nursing home and the staff had problems with him bothering the ladies. He was patting, pinching, kissing and “copping feels”. His doctor prescribed a hormone patch. It has really curbed his behavior.
I’m no Bush fan but this is wrong. A senile old man in a wheelchair is no pervert. He probably doesn’t know what he had for breakfast this morning. Attack Bush Sr. for what he did when he had all his faculties.
GHWB was also big into the concept that he was the first U.S. President to have been a previous UN ambassador!
Yeah, and I am sure that “Vanity Fair” wanted to interview him in order to allow him to present his side to their readers....
>>They have nearly destroyed this country; in multiple ways.
Yep. That whole “it’s just a go#$%mned piece of paper” thing was sort of a big eye opening clue about from whence their shrubbery grew.
Neee! To all three of their heads. And no herring in their Christmas stockings, either... ever
Bannon brought two disgusting terms to politics?
Yes Steve & Bannon
For 8 long years I defended that man, his family and his administration. Never once did he speak to defend himself or us, his supporters. I bought into the notion that he thought it was beneath the dignity of the office, blah, blah.
He remained silent as Obama and the Clintons savaged him and blamed republicans for every evil in the world today. What did we get? “Brother from another mother,” hugs for Michele, and his daughter dancing the night away in Paris with Huma Abedin!
If Jeb wants to know why he isn’t president today than he need look no further than his brother and his father. 2 bushes is enough 3 is a hedge that needs cutting down.
Indeed.
Thank you, Mears.
