The United Nations General Assembly overwhelmingly backed a measure critical of President Donald Trump’s decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel despite U.S. Ambassador Nikki Haley’s warning that the move could put funding for their nations and the global body at risk.
The nonbinding UN resolution passed on Thursday by a vote of 128-9, with 35 nations abstaining. Key U.S. allies backing the measure over Trump’s threats included the U.K., France, Italy, Japan and Germany. The U.S. was joined in opposition by countries including Guatemala, Nauru and Micronesia. Abstentions included Australia, Canada and Argentina.
“The United States will remember this day when it was singled out for attack in the General Assembly,” Haley said at the U.N. podium ahead of the vote. “We will remember it when so many countries come calling on us, as they often do, to pay even more. This vote will be remembered.”

The good thing about this so called "resolution" is it means exactly nothing and can be safely ignored. It is virtue signaling on a grand scale and we should listen to it about as much as we listen to the squaking social justice betas and lesbians. Which is to say not at all.

As far as funding, On January 1, Trump should announce that there will be a 20% reduction on all contributions to governments that voted against the US. It’s just enough that they will feel it, but not enough for them to go running to Russia and China.

This is an egregious and outrageous attack on us as a sovereign nation, because we have the temerity to tell the rest of the world that we stand beside the Jewish nation and their designation of Jerusalem as the capitol of that nation.
I am appalled that it has generated so little interest amongst conservatives.
I'm not Jewish...I care little on a personal basis about the angst between the Jewish nation and the muslim nations, but I know who the hell our only ally in these lands is.
And it sure as hell ain't Egypt or Saudi Arabia...no matter how much they talk crap.
