Some media pundits have been determined not to let President Trump and the GOP gloat over their successful votes Tuesday and early Wednesday morning on tax reform. The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act has passed both chambers and is now on its way to Trump's desk.
House Speaker Paul Ryan is ecstatic, considering he has worked on tax reform since he was a baby-faced politician.
For every middle-income family that knows what it's like to try to make ends meet and for every hardworking taxpayer who has ever spent hours trying to navigate complicated IRS forms, this vote in favor of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act is for you. https://t.co/JvEYtB3msN— Paul Ryan (@SpeakerRyan) December 20, 2017
Ryan's excitement is shared by Trump, who commended Republicans for their effort.
I would like to congratulate @SenateMajLdr on having done a fantastic job both strategically & politically on the passing in the Senate of the MASSIVE TAX CUT & Reform Bill. I could have not asked for a better or more talented partner. Our team will go onto many more VICTORIES!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) December 20, 2017
Not so fast, according to "TODAY" show anchor Savannah Guthrie, who asked Speaker Ryan if he was living in a "fantasy" in which American workers would truly benefit from the GOP plan. Still, he seemed unfazed.
MSNBC anchor Lawrence O'Donnell also tried to rain on the parade. On his show Tuesday night, O'Donnell spent three minutes explaining why basically everyone at the White House is a liar.
Trump is "the worst liar in the history of the American presidency," O'Donnell said, for suggesting he and his wealthy friends do not benefit from the GOP tax bill.
White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders is his "daily backup liar" for lying to the press about his tax returns, O'Donnell continued. Sanders told reporters this week that Trump has not released his returns because he is currently being audited.
"An audit doesn’t prohibit you from releasing your return," O’Donnell said. "Every president’s tax return is automatically audited every year."
To protect his viewers from Donald Trump and his "supporting cast of liars," O'Donnell said he would only show video of Huckabee Sanders's briefings, not the audio.
"It would be a disservice for me to burden you with the actual sound of her lying."
Rosie O'Donnell's gay husband ?
Nicely done there
It would appear Ms. Guthrie and Mr. O’Donnell are suffering from a terminal case of sour grapes.
Oh well...
I would imagine the average FReeper leads a much happier life than either of them.
Can I hope that prolonged TDS is fatal?

Thank you

Free Republic on the other hand, is a forum for discussion of important issues, one of which is to focus on what the enemy is doing. We need to be kept informed of their evil ways. Those who find these posts distasteful can simply change to something more to their liking.
To censor enemy content from Free Republic is almost as bad as someone telling Eisenhower's intelligence agents they shouldn't be listening to Nazi broadcasts because it's not worthy of their attention.
O’Donnell: “In the interests of news objectivity I see no reason to assail your sensitivities with a video of that cheap, sleazy, whorish, STD-ridden, degenerate, fat, lying pig.”
I think O’Donnell has taken over the nuthouse from
Olbermann who has once again been fired and disappeared.
(Check the woman’s lingerie aisle at Kmart).
I thought the title was referring to Bernie Sanders!!!
I think $$ is a good thing. I just call them what
they really are.....assholes.
They certainly deserve it. All they do is lie, twist, hide, distort and project.
Lawrence O’Donnell is living proof that at MSNBC, even the totally insane can rise to a highly paid position as a lying psychopathic talking head.
The whole bunch of them could fill two insane asylums with the overflow living in house-trailers in Obama’s backyard.
That’s one fugly creep.
Wow, Sanders doesn’t bake this guy a Pie and this is how he acts?
What's he supposed to be...some kinda news-actor?
