On May 11, 2017, Brown was convicted of 18 of her 22 felony criminal charges,
including filing false tax returns and conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud,
in relation to the non-profit charity, "One Door for Education Foundation". She
was sentenced to five years in prison and ordered to pay restitution on December 4, 2017.
