Disagree:
Line 1: The strings attached requirements with China. Like Western culture more then dictatorships.
Line 2: Somewhat true, but is US cash better and stronger the China cash?
Line 3: Yes, but buying them is not a relationship it is but an acquaintances.
Line 4: Not so true in today world, take put do not give.

Nice story but I truly hate that paper! They are traitors to Israel just like the ultralib papers are here to us! Grossly anti-Israel!

I remember when the Soviet Union had many fellow travelers in the Middle East. Things were always going South. One nation or another flared up during critical times, some of them causing critical times.
I don’t like the idea of payola to nations. At the same time it does help. It helps keep more level heads. It helps to keep them all ganging up on Israel at critical times.
The problem with policies that work, is that things become so smooth and non-confrontational, that folks think the money is a waste, not worth continuing.
I acknowledge that some of the things you say are true.
I don’t think aid to foreign nations is a zero sum loss.
If China were to get their polices to be accepted by some of these nations, it wouldn’t just cause problems regionally, but it would also cause a deterioration of relations with China itself.
In a way it’s like saying the Secret Service isn’t necessary because we haven’t had a president mowed down since Kennedy.

"They take hundreds of millions of dollars and even billions of dollars, and then they vote against us," Trump said. "Well, we're watching those votes. Let them vote against us. We'll save a lot. We don't care." There are times I disagree with President Trump and there are times I agree with President Trump.
HELL YEAH I agree with him here!!

AID?
Why the F do we give any country aid?
“Aid” comes in several forms but a significant amount of it these days is technical assistance to maintain or upgrade US industrial or military equipment already in place in those countries. Sometimes it may take the form of food aid or medical assistance which the nation doesn’t have or can not afford to acquire. A sizable amount of military and foreign aid flows back to US private contractors and companies. It hardly EVER takes the form of cutting them a check; we learned that is too easily misdirected a long time ago.
You can make a case for staying involved with many of these countries who would likely find willing patrons in other parts of the world who are less friendly to the USA, particularly if the receiving nation happens to have some natural resources that China would want, it happens to be somewhere which might expand their influence in an area or it simply presents a new market for Chinese products..
