Is Liz on your ping list? I bet she knows a lot about this.
THANK YOU for sanity and reason.
FR needs a lot more of it.
yep - bet she’s digging into it right now...
I am totally amazed every day by the corruption that is brought to light.
And they were
Was the fake car dealership really named CIA? This really provides fodder for conspiracy theorists.
Interesting thought and good question.
You have experience with complex investigations, so:
If you had felony charges - and an arrest - on the criminal group leader plus an ongoing investigation with potential upcoming warrants for RICO, trafficking, drug smuggling, fraud, espionage, maybe even terrorist activity and tie-ins (basically a multitude of Felony charges), would you permit him bond?
Also, would you permit an accomplice/witness to knowingly leave the country to a hostile nation - with bundles of cash?
There is no deeper investigation going on.

Thanks, LJ.
Hoping Long Colt will see this; he’s got knowledge and experience and I don’t. All I have are a couple of wits I try to scratch together. My wits tell me that with a gigantic complex cast-of-thousands criminal enterprise such as this, the Pakistanis are actually not the worst ones, the worst ones are the Americans who aided, abetted and no doubt profited from this and committed treason among other felonies.
So....my wits tell me that if the American criminals did not know that the DOJ was seriously investigating this whole shebang, that would be best, so they would not hide/destroy evidence, and so on. If the Pakis were brought back and imprisoned without bail (which would be the best thing in a way), then the American criminals would realize that they are toast too, and would be fleeing, destroying trails, etc.
Anyway, that would be my take on it.
You must be unaware of all the IG did to upset the proverbial apple cart while Holder was attorney general. The man is a patriot.
You wait until they are ready. Thats how long you wait.
Trump and his team are expertly draining the swamp and FReepers cant see it. Amazing!
Sheesh indeed.
Imo, it was an obvious “in you face” affront to LEO community.
Im not going to disagree with what you wrote because it is plausible, but wouldnt that argument be sort of like saying, back in the 2000s we should have given terrorist matermind KSM bond and an ankle monitor so we dont scare Al Qaeda into destroying evidence and going into hiding?
I simply and respectfully disagree. There is no deeper investigation (at this time).
Not buying it. When you suspect someone of a crime you don’t.leave them in a position of power. Mueller and McCabe are still free to destroy evidence. They still have protection from members of Congress....who have too much to loose if they allow convictions to happen.
I just don’t believe all this wishful thinking. It simply does not mee Occam’s Razor.
I am happy you have happy thoughts to keep you warm. I am very sad to see what is going on. I voted for Trump and want him to succeed.
Well said.
Competence is usually quiet.
There are numerous investigations. No one said thousands but it’s certainly more than one. Problem is, they are complex and some are intertwined.
Any unnecessary chatter and exposure on the part of investigators in one investigation may screw up successful prosecution of this or that actor on a technicality [remember that Bill Ayers the Weather Underground bomber was guilty as heck but got off on a technicality] and the screw up may not be limited to just the immediate case but in related cases, or leaks and chest thumping may alert as yet unknown conspirators that someone close to them has been flipped or discovered and cause the unknown actors to destroy evidence or flee.
The safest thing if an AGs thinks his job is to pursue and eventually prosecute these leads is to keep his mouth shut and that of everyone on the prosecution side. If he has no interest in prosecution, then he can leak about his investigation like crazy, as did Comey. The drawback is if there is no leaking, and no one’s tooting their own horn, a proper investigator is going to be thrashed by all the folks who are accustomed to Bush and Obama era leaks and ant more.
The Hezbollah-cartel-drugs-immigration thing is exactly what Sessions was brought on board to tackle, not the political sideshow that is the Mueller investigation that no one could have predicted was going to be carried to such extremes.
In a way it’s a blessing that so many flaming libs are tied up in that or else they would be meddling in these other investigations and leaking, but it is frustrating.
