From organizing mass hexes to setting up witch-themed Etsy stores, the feminist movement and witchcraft are becoming increasingly entwined. In an article this week, feminist and author Laurie Penny documented the boom in online occultism and why feminists are so attracted to witchcraft.
Days after Donald Trump won the U.S. election, videos of women hexing Trump went viral around the world, encouraging budding magical practitioners to burn images of the president-elect to bring his works to ruin, reported Penny on Wednesday. Meanwhile, an entire explosive industry of witch-paraphernalia is boiling out of the cauldron of digital consumer culture.
You can buy your crocheted bat-bunting and your broomstick-decals on Etsy, while a couple of clicks away anonymous web artisans peddle laptop stickers declaring the owner, with more or less accuracy, a daughter of the witches they werent able to burn, she explained. Commodification is usually a poisoned apple for movements like this, but theres a proud legacy of repurposing the witch-aesthetic for radical ends.
The two scenes have become so intertwined that the term witch has even started to become synonymous with feminist, as online stores such as Witchsy sell feminist witch-themed goods.
Dozens of witch-related products, ranging from pentagram-decorated clothing to Im a witch, youre a bitch pins, can be found on Witchsy among more typical feminist merchandise, while searching feminist witch on Etsy returns over 750 results.
Though a large percentage of feminist witches undoubtedly limit themselves to the aesthetic alone, an increase in political mass hexes shows a portion of the movement delves deeper.
Following President Trumps inauguration, witches, covens, and even A-list celebrities started to hex the president with frequent spells.

And how's that been working out for them so far?
Stinky, unshaven hippies gonna stink.
The Rise of Feminist _itchcraft...
This is more retro s***-that whole witch/occult thing was popular with a lot of way-out-there broads from the time I was 19 till I was about 22, when it went out of fashion-just like it will this time around. Doesn’t anyone have original ideas any more? Now even the weird fads have been done before...
When I look at the kinds of people who oppose Trump, I’m even happier I voted for him.
They seem to have the human sacrifice element down pat....

They're still less dangerous than those violent, dangerous Tea Partiers.
Now, could you imagine the reaction if those craaaaaazy people were burning images of the last president? The complaints about "irrationality" would know no bounds. Do the fundamentalist atheists who oppose Trump complain about the feminist witches who oppose Trump, openly or secretly, or does Never-Trumpism momentarily heal all divisions?
What about that witch/magic expression saying “whatever you send out, you get back 3x”?
I read they cast a malicious hex it comes back to them threefold
Karma is not a lady
Btw Hillary is on video throwing a hex sign at a heckler during her campaign
Guess that didnt work out so good for her
Playing with the arcane is stupid. These people are opening themselves to powers and forces that are malevolent and ultimately uncontrollable. They are far more dangerous to themselves than they are to Trump.
Witchcraft ping.

Probably some of them out there, too...
There is nothing new under the sun. Same spiritual war as in the Garden...
Deuteronomy 18:9-11 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
Spiritism Forbidden
9 When you enter the land which the Lord your God gives you, you shall not learn to imitate the detestable things of those nations. 10 There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices witchcraft, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, 11 or one who casts a spell, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead.”
Queen Jezebel practiced witchcraft and she was a NASTY woman.
It is that indeed-my grandmother’s sister lived up the road on the ranch next to ours-she was a curandera who used herbal remedies and prayer to treat people-faith and herbal healers were common in remote areas then-still are. She taught us about herbs and the power of God in healing-and also cautioned us against ever dabbling in any spells, seances, summoning spirits, etc, telling us that demons can use those activities to come in, even if you think you are just playing around.
When I was about 13, she came down the road to visit and found me and three of my cousins playing with a Oujia board-she took the thing away from us, threw it in the trash burning barrel lectured to us about playing with occult stuff tempting evil, prayed for us, etc-made a believer of me for sure...
My guy calls Hillary Satan’s mistress, and says that Jezebel was one of her ancestors-I know he is mostly joking, but who knows...
