You’re on to something.

The cars don’t rattle off both sides unless there was an obstacle but the speed appears excessive as well

This arshole a Airbase Mildenhall.. today, a Jihadi was busted last year for casing the base.

Dipstick had a pass

It's possible that the resting position of the passenger cars was caused mainly by the locomotive at the rear of the train pushing everything forward even after the cars left the track.

That's exactly what happened in the New Jersey Transit derailment last year. If you looked at where the cars ended up you'd assume the train was doing 90 mph, but it was only going about 25-30 miles per hour in a 10-mph zone. The force of the locomotive pushing the cars from the rear was what caused most of the damage.

Thanks for the note.

If he had a pass, just catching him wasn’t the end of the story.

Someone had to have helped him, it seems. If he just stole the pass, it should have been deactivated.

The “s” shape of trains in collision, “rattle off on both sides” is a natural product of physics. As the front of one car leaves the track the car tends to pivot and steer the following car to the opposite side and will cause it to pivot which will then steer the following and on and on.
Barring other intrusions in the process

Sorry you two, your analysis is flawed. the locomotive made an almost straight trajectory when it hit the curve going 50 mph above the speed limit. It went down the hill and came to an abrupt stop. The cars behind it accordioned into the positions they came to rest in.

This is the area that I have lived and worked in my entire life. I had friends and associates who responded. The cause of the mishap was no mystery to a lot of the people who responded. They waited for the Feds to make the announcement because that is the job of the Feds. My associates jobs are to respond to the mess, but we still have observational skills and brains.

There does appear to be a conspiracy here and terrorists. The terrorists are the liars at Sound Transit who claimed that spending $800 million dollars improving this “bypass” would save 4 minutes on this section of the route. They spent $20 million dollars in advertising alone spreading misinformation. It will likely be found that they encouraged the engineers to push the pace because testing showed that the bypass was actually slower than the mainline when run at safe speeds. The only way they won’t be caught is if the Feds cover for them and blame everything on the engineer.
