Full title : 60 Minutes claims 74% of “extremist-related killings” in US in last 10 years by “right-wing extremists,” not jihadis
This is a completely false statistic, designed to foster ignorance and complacency about the nature and magnitude of the jihad threat. And the establishment media repeats it, or variations of it, relentlessly. Here is why it is false:
1. It misleads immediately by covering only the last ten years. Why that period? What changed between 2006 and 2007? Why not go back 20 years? Because then the survey period would include 9/11, and would show Islamic jihad terrorists killing many, many more people than “right-wing extremists.” So they start it at a point that suits the data they want.
2. Counting the number of people killed by each group doesn’t take into account failed attacks, such as that of the New York subway jihad bomber last week. Nor does it include foiled plots.
3. Islamic jihad terror is an international movement, with jihad groups all over the world. White supremacism or “right-wing extremism” isn’t.
CBS News is a propaganda outlet for the left, not a news source.
This has been going on for twenty years at least. They never stop the propaganda.

What list of incidents did they produce? I don’t buy it.
There are more ways to misrepresent the facts than just date parameters.
How are Chicago shootings not counted as Jihad? Those thugs would join Islam in a heartbeat if they were offered any carnal benefit at all.
I’m trying to remember attacks by right wing extremists. They probably count the church attack by that racist, but what others?

This is just not true. Its just a lie and a manipulation of statistics.
Some left-wing group did a skewed survey years ago. A prime example of their bias is the guy who flew a plane into the IRS building in Austin. They labelled him right-wing for apparent anti-government bias, when he has a specific beef against the IRS and quoted Marx in his suicide note. Hardly a right-winger. Other so-called right-wing incidents were situations such as a domestic violence call against a militia person that ended in a police standoff.
But that is the only bit of data this article provides -- nothing more.
No specific numbers by category, or year, or region of the country, or motives, ages, etc., etc.
Who are these alleged "right-wing extremists", what is their cause, who did they kill, are these group actions or just "lone wolves"?
And let's start right here: if they self-identify as "Nazis", then by definition they cannot be "right wing", since Nazi stands for National Socialist!
So I call foul, Left-Wing propaganda, nothing else.

I think it is more to fuel the fire against Christian White Males who don’t feel dependent on the government. In the MSM, “right-wing” is code for white male.
