Kurt, you're wrong on all counts. And I consider you probably the wittiest columnist aside from Mark Steyn.

What Republicans need to do is sit down and read Rules for Radicals. Then they need to read The Art of War. Then they need to study clips of Lee Atwater and call Bannon for advice.

Because that's the only way that they're going to defeat the Democrats. The next crop of Republican candidates need to have Bannon on speed-dial and need to do the following:

(1) No interviews to national news orgs like CNN, MSNBC, and even Fox News. Only give interviews to local/state stations.

(2) Stay on offense. Take your opponents' greatest strength (gay rights or equal pay for example) and turn it into their weakness. Lay out the facts on why they're wrong and you're right.

(3) Never, ever apologize or hold groveling press conferences if you're accused of something you did decades ago. Strongly deny it, call it bulls--t even, and then move on. That's partly what sank Moore. He held press conferences denying the allegations; meanwhile Jones was free to criss-cross the state and campaign.

(4) None of this "Work with Democrats" or "Reach across the aisle" crapola. Lay out a conservative, populist vision for America and your state and stand your ground.

(5) Be politically-incorrect. Don't adopt the Left's language. Don't accept their premise.

Sounds like the gopE has come up with a new strategy to push their chosen candidates on us. Only it’s not new, this is the carl rove maneuver with with a millennial twist.

“Who is the most conservative candidate who can win, and back him/her.” Good counsel. Will do. Moore was conservative who could not win. We learn from our mistakes.

We have reached a stage where a Democrat or a Republican(D) win of the Congress and the White House will be the formal end of the Republic. They thought they had it all with Mrs Bill obviously gonna win and we pulled a big grinning rabbit oout of the hat. But if they really do get it, especially if it is over Trump’s figurative or actual dead body, they will make sure they cannot lose again.

This is babble telling conservatives to support liberal Republican candidates like abortion advocate Susan Collins. That is a GOPe position. This guy is a fraud.

... His determination to make this race about “clearing his name” cost us a Senate seat. ...
*******************
What cost us the Arkansas seat: (1) Moore hugely outspent. (2) Trump’s help too little and too late. (3) Republicans’ more interested in virtue signaling than national policy issues and fighting false allegations. If any one of these had not been present, Moore would have won.
