Sorry, but McCain has consistently opposed conservative and even moderate GOP positions, and should have resigned years ago because he was clearly out of it. I don’t know why he kept getting elected in AZ, except that there are many retirees from the Northeast and Midwest who live in Phoenix and thereabouts, and the population isn’t very dense outside of those areas.
Personally, I think he’s despicable and has destroyed many a good initiative over the last 30 years since he got elected in 1987. Term limits for Senators!
We have the oldest Senate ever now because these liberal fossils have been collecting paychecks and not representing their constituencies for so long that the constituencies (or their parties) don’t even know what they should be expecting from their Senator anymore. The result is that nobody but the Golden Oldies, who vote they way they always have since they retired 20-30 years ago, even bothers to vote.
