Democratic Lawmaker: Women Who Wear Revealing Clothing Invite Sexual Harassment
Breitbart ^ | 12-16-2017 | Adelle Nazarian

A female Democratic lawmaker on Wednesday reportedly said women who wear revealing clothing often create an “invitation” to sexual harassment. “I saw a member yesterday with her cleavage so deep it was down to the floor,” Rep. Marcy Kaptur (D-OH), 71, told fellow Democrats during a caucus private meeting meant to discuss sexual harassment issues, according to Politico. “And what I’ve seen … it’s really an invitation.”

Politico’s unnamed sources said, “the comments left many others in the room stunned.”

“Maybe I’ll get booed for saying this, but many companies and the military [have] a dress code,” Kaptur reportedly said. “I have been appalled at some of the dress of … members and staff. Men have to wear ties and suits.”

In summary, men should forget about it-get lost and take a cold shower.

Advertising your goodies invites people to pay attention to your goodies. The line between “attention” and “harassment” is in the eye of the beholder. She’s right about this if about nothing else.

“Or because she wants men to look in that direction? It’s called advertising........”

I’d call it more like cruel taunting.

It’s harassment....they are just showing you what you can’t have.

For some, “work” can be “fun.”

"Work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work." "Hello, boys. You have a good night's rest? I missed you."

“There’s attention and then there’s sexual attention.....women who show their boobs etc are looking or sexual attention..”

Just one more way women can aggravate men. Like waving around a steak in front of a lion.,..through the glass.

“Back in the 90s I sent a woman home because when she bent forward you could see her panties.”

To your home?

I can just imagine! My mom and MIL are both elderly. They have a difficult time finding appropriate clothes because stuff that suits them just isn’t out there very much. Younger people however have sometimes never had a mom, aunt, sister or friend take them aside and say “Oh, honey ... are you sure you want to wear THAT ...?”

In the late 80s, a family friend, who worked as a staffer in DC, was visiting our home for the weekend. Super sharp, fabulous clothes and had a pair of stiletto shoes that were just beautiful and you could tell they were pricey. So we complimented her on them and she laughed, “oh my “FM” shoes, they set me back a weeks pay”. I said I wasn’t familiar with that brand at which time she said, no, these are Charles Jourdan.........then explained what FM meant and then gave us the breakdown on how it works in DC.

"What are you so aggravated about?"

"I spent over an hour putting on my
make-up, coordinating my pants and
blouse and doing my hair.  And
l had barely got out the front door
when some strange guy harassed me!"

"Wow.  What did he do?"

"He noticed!"

So Sister Marcy Kaptur has an Alinsky side based on her training in the NCO-Chicago’s Northwest Community Org.

And she has a Catholic Convent side.

Don’t know how old you are but a fly check will at some point become a moment to moment necessity, for as long as you can remember that you have one. LOL

While modesty is a good thing, where do you draw the line in a wardrobe or outfit that you must be responsible for sex attacks because you chose that outfit? Tightness of the article of clothing? Degree of sexy figure showing through even a wool sweater? Or revealing the boob? How much cleavage is ok and how much means Legally You Can Rape Me Now? How short the skirt?

I went to private school where, in middle school, the uniform police could ask a girl in the hall to drop and kneel and they’d measure your skirt to make sure it was only 2 inches from the floor. (So we would roll our skirts up to mini length anyway)

I do think women should be modest but let’s not be ridiculous. You’d wear something sexy to a club but not to church. On a 100 degree day you might show a lot more skin than in the snow.

When I went to public high school I used to tie a scarf around my torso an call it a top. I am not kidding. I’d wear a jacket over it to get out the house but take the jacket off at school. My mom wouldn’t have liked it but no one at the school seemed to mind. Some girls did wear bikini tops and cut offs.

Rep. Marcy Kaptur (D-OH)

Not to be confused with '90s TV actress Mitzi Kapture.

Though by this point it could be hard to tell them apart.
