'Christ' Purged from Christmas and the Left Rejoices

Newsflash: The War on Christmas is over.

Those who rightfully believe that Christ needs to be a part of Christmas and those rebelling against the politically correct tyranny looking to strip all spirituality from the holiday have lost.

You have lost. We…have lost.

According to the latest results from the Pew Research Center – and already being gleefully shouted from the rooftops of certain left-leaning media sites orchestrating the campaign against faith-based Christmas – while 90 percent of Americans still celebrate Christmas in one way or another, a majority find that the religious elements of Christmas are emphasized less and less and few of them care about that change.

If accurate, it not only tells us how truly lost we are as a nation, but underscores the dangers of absolute power, discrimination, and propaganda.

Decades ago, Christians, conservatives and anyone against the insanity of political correctness ceded the three major megaphones of our nation to the far-left. Those megaphones being the media, entertainment, and academia.

Once the far-left was essentially given absolute control of the megaphones of our nation, they made sure they kept control via a brutal and ongoing process of discrimination in hiring.

If you were conservative, Republican, Christian or simply someone who would dare to question the dogma of liberalism, you were not only looked down upon as unenlightened, but had your name permanently carved into a granite “Do Not Hire Ever” list.

I have stressed in the past that human nature dictates that we tend to embrace the truth right up until the moment it reflects poorly upon us or our cause.

A truth the far-left not only ignores, but goes out of its way to deny, is that they have created a strangle-hold on the media, entertainment and academia purely through unethical and often illegal discrimination.

Not surprisingly, the far-left always screams the loudest about the “evils of discrimination” right up until the moment they can use it as a tool to advance their own ideology and goals.

One of the goals they have long sought being the total removal of Christ from Christmas and to transform the day into a secular holiday.

According to the Pew Research Center, that goal will be fully realized in but a few years.

Unless…at least 50 percent control of the media, entertainment and academia can be regained.

Unless…wealthy and powerful conservatives and Christians stop playing the victim and decide to jump into the arena.

Not to create conservative or religious propaganda sites – which would be just as wrong as what the far-left is now doing – but to bring honesty, fairness and a diversity of opinion back to the media, entertainment and academia.

Aside from the wealthy and powerful, everyone from every walk of life who still believes Christ needs to be a part of Christmas – a day only created to celebrate His birth – needs to speak up.

My wife who was born in Iran and into the Muslim faith is shocked at how many Americans have been cowed into not saying “Merry Christmas” at Christmas-time. Her answer to that being: “At least 80 percent of Americans still consider themselves Christian. Simply say ‘Merry Christmas and happy holidays.’ To not do so is to give into politically correct intimidation.”

The far-left and those who think Christmas should be a secular holiday believe they have won.

What say you?

"What say you" was something Bill O'Reilly always said in his show. We need to trot him out this time every year. Defending Christmas was one of the things he did best.

“Decades ago, Christians, conservatives and anyone against the insanity of political correctness ceded the three major megaphones of our nation to the far-left. Those megaphones being the media, entertainment, and academia.”

This is the epic failure in a nutshell. Complacency, coupled with a lack of understanding just how serious the threat was as the left infiltrated and took control of these things is the reason this country is disintegrating. The left had a long-term battle plan, conservatives did not.

Conservatives assumed sanity, reasonableness, morality and decency were so built into the bedrock of this nation that it couldn’t be undone. Conservatives went about thier lives, while the left was mounting a determined, methodical, relentless assault on the United States of America. Can this country be saved?

“That Word above all earthly powers / No thanks to them abideth” — Martin Luther, “A Mighty Fortress Is Our God” (trans.)

I beg Christians to chill out here and look to what kind of spiritual fire they are keeping going at their own churches. That’s what’s going to ignite the world, if it consents to be ignited. Beating on an unbelieving world for being unbelieving seems like beating on a dog for barking or a cat for meowing. That’s what they do.

Lets have Merry Christmases that really MEAN it because there’s something more than formality and inertia behind them, and then we have the ones that count.

Well surprise, surprise! As PFC Gomer Pyle would say.

God doesn’t have any grandchildren.

Forward should not come the politicians or even the complaining commentators.

Forward should come the EVANGELISTS.

Your remarks resonated with me. Thank you for them.

I celebrated “Christmas” for years without faith. Only in my 50th year have I found my church. Only later this month —shortly after Christmas— am I to be baptized.

I believe within every human heart is the desire to know God, to love Him, and to know His love. Those who celebrate a faithless Christmas have the desire in them somewhere. It’s either grown cold, or it hasn’t yet had the chance to blossom, but it’s there — even in the most wicked CNN host. It’s in every one of us, no?

Pray for the lost.

“I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.”

Luke 15:7

We have NOT lost. The frog legs (prog-libs) have lost. One Day, they (and those, including Freepers, who support them) will stand before the Lord Jesus Christ and answer for their enmity of Christ and Christians.

All of those will also bow before Him and proclaim that Christ is Lord.

We all come from a background of common human sin whether or not we know it.

Salvational grace is free in one sense, but it is costly in another sense. We have to be willing to exercise the faith that accepting the grace will find it carrying us to a heavenly future, even when it seems to be removing all the things that we had once taken comfort in — as in fact it must do in order to make room for heavenly, more satisfying things. And if it were not for divine promises that salvational grace is furnished sufficient for this purpose, we might give up, saying that we might as well hang it up and have fun sinning our way to hell. And when we do slip, we’ll find the sin less and less enjoyable the closer we get to heaven and the more we see things in their true light.

If God hadn’t already solved the problem, the good news would be reduced to a “good luck” wish.

Some people will never yield for the sake of heaven, no matter what God approaches them with. The desire for God is forever twisted into a desire to follow the rebel angel to the bitter end, and God gets no foothold in those souls.

Be careful when creating categories beyond what the bible speaks about, as though the story of good versus evil were a story of one’s personal merit.

The left think it’s ok for Islam here in our country to have their Allah, and call it religious freedom, but Christians must give up their Savior Jesus.
The left in our country are evil. They have sold their soul for power.

The irony here is that the myth of Santa Claus has done more to undermine the Christian influence in Christmas than anything these PC secularists have done.

As if the Calvinistic, Lutheranism heresies had any truth in them? As if adding the word “alone” to the Bible while throwing out James and other parts of the Bible to literally change God’s Word into the words of Luther made it truth. You could say the same for Muhammed or Young with their absurd “claims” and mass contradictions in the Koran or the Book of Mormons, both which ontradict and “correct” the Bible, but not more so than Luther, huh?

The greatest heresy of Luther’s was his toilet “thinking” that Reason and Faith can be separated and you could still have “man” as God Designed. You can have “faith” without using your mind (reason) is the total dehumanization of man: reducing man to animal without mind (soul), not made in the image of God. It is impossible to separate Faith and Reason-—one can not exist without the other. Just like the Cardinal Virtues which all hinge on each other—you can’t have one without the other. All men who claim “reason” have faith, whether they admit it or not. It is not possible to be human and not have both reason and faith—faith in “what” is the major question. Faith in Luther? Heck, no!!!!

That the reductio ad absurdum of Luther’s is the beginning of the end of Christianity in Europe as Nietzsche so gloriously noted with the shout “God is Dead” in the 1800s ( in Luther’s Germany!!!!) after just a very short period by Catholic time.

Same for the Anglican move to ditch the Catholic Canon so the king could make himself into god (again a revision of the Bible), so he could commit polygamy and cut off heads and still be the “head” of the church. Oh—for sure, it matters not at all what you do, as if what is in your heart and mind does not matter at all: no faith, then no works—huh?

Or are we supposed to read the Bible and not do what God commands us to do? Love? Can you “love” God’s Creation by sitting and reading and not “doing”? Really? Not “living”? Can you exist without doing what God commands and still just say “I believe”—and can you really believe? No, It is not possible because your works illustrate your worldview (what you believe), what is in your mind. If you love God (have TRUE faith), you live like Christ. Merit”-—ha. “Works”—ha. What does that even mean? How can you separate what one does, and what is in one’s heart? It is absurd. (You can’t). That is why worldview matters so much. It determines actions! Reason? It is how we discern good and evil and God’s Will and decipher the Bible. Without it, we are just cattle or as Calvin knew, like predestined sheeple, where mind and soul and actions (life) don’t even matter in the end.

As if man is not to do what God Himself commanded for man to “DO” in the Bible, we should ignore most of the Bible? How absurd is your “warning” and how it ignores the very Words of God.

Why should I believe this poll and the inferences made from it any more than the pre-election polls of 2016? Or, for that matter, the polls that were all over the place in the Alabama Senate Race?

Try as they might the rotgut godless leftists will never expunge the Spirit of the Lord or His eternal truths. Light will overcome darkness even when the evil ones seem to think they have one. It truly sucks to be them and pity those fools who choose their evil eternal destiny. Fear not our Savior God reigns supreme forever.

Do not be disheartened by the poll. Ideas are not moved be the majority, but by a committed minority. That is why we have gotten to where we are today. The secular Left has been more committed and motivated than those 80% who claim to be Christian. It is time we got off our comfortable backsides and follow the command of Jesus: Go and make disciples of all nations. And yes, this does means reasserting our places in the media, entertainment, and academia.

Let’s give the pagan celebrations back to them and select January as the month to celebrate the birth of Christ. No presents. No special dinners or travelling long distances. Just celebrate His birth and be done with it.

Christmas has been primarily a merchants’ holiday as long as I can remember. The vast majority of people don’t think of Christ. We are more aware of this now, but it was not much different when I was a kid.

I’ve been wondering, as I approach baptism, how much of my “self” I’m supposed to keep, if any. I’ve wondered, after all, what is the self — this thing I call “I”? Is it nothing more than a record of sin and error? Perhaps there is no “I”; or at least, what I think of as “I” might not really be me.

Then by grace is occurred to me that I just have to offer my entire being to Him, and He will know what to do. I have to sacrifice my whole self, and have faith in Him.

All off-topic, I suppose. Pardon me.
