Catholic League: 'Homosexuals Committed Most of the Abuse'

Commenting on an Australian commission report that recommends ending mandatory celibacy of priests in the Catholic Church to apparently curtail sexual abuse, Catholic League President Bill Donohue said this possibly is Australia's way of saying there are too many homosexuals in the Catholic clergy, and he added that in the United States "homosexuals committed most of the abuse" in the church over the last 50 years.

"Though it is not considered polite to say so, most people know that homosexuals are responsible for the lion's share of the problem in the Catholic Church," said Donohue. "This includes those who insist they are gay-friendly."

"We do know that in the U.S., 81 percent of the clergy victims were male, and 78 percent were post-pubescent, meaning that homosexuals committed most of the abuse," said Donohue, "less than 5 percent of the abusers were determined to be pedophiles (see the John Jay College of Criminal Justice reports on this subject)."

Also, what possible connection to priestly celibacy does this issue have?

The logic is utterly asinine: one can’t have sex with women, so one’s sexual urges are therefore channelled to young boys.

Your logic appears to be a bit deficient as well.

None whatsoever. Celibate is celibate.

The simple fact is, there are those who are attracted to young children, and those who are attracted to older children, but children none-the-less. For some, it may not even be an attraction, but a desire to dominate.

Those types are attracted to positions that put them in the middle of their intended targets.

The seminaries are full of them. They're gay long before they get ordained.

Your proposition that because they are forbidden from having sex with women forces them to have sex with boys which is also forbidden makes no sense.

No. That’s not my proposition. Read the first sentence of the article - that’s the proposition of this “Australian Commission.”

Before I could teach CCD, I had to go through the safety program at the church. The class could be most easily summed up as “don’t touch the kids, and never be alone with one.”

They also went out of their way to state unequivocally that homosexuality and pedophilia were in no way connected.

That earned a collective groan from the room.

Big surprise, not. We heterosexuals are taught to control our "feelings" and not to give in to our baser instincts. Some of us even save it for marriage or at least committed relationships.

Homos, on the other hand, are taught to have pride in these feelings and let it all hang out. Society is supposed to pat them on the back for "coming out" and being who they are.

Were I to even suggest, much less verbalize my feelings about women at work who dress like street walkers and let their cleavage hang out, I'd be fired in a New York minute.

When you put it that way, yes it is.

Is it fair to say that celibacy made the priesthood an attractive option for homosexual men? After all, no dealing with uncomfortable questions about ones sexuality.

Furthermore, because it seems that homosexuals are dominated by their sexual appetites, that the pederasty scandal was just a matter of time?

Just my thoughts...

I’ve been saying for a long time that they infiltrated the church to destroy it from within.
