What if Jeff Sessions is not asleep, but instead playing possum?
American Thinker ^ | December 15, 2017 | Brian C. Joondeph

Conventional wisdom is that Attorney General Jeff Sessions is asleep at the wheel – from recusing himself unnecessarily from the Trump-Russia collusion investigation to doing nothing about the politicization and weaponization of the Department of Justice. He also gave free rein to his deputy A.G., Rod Rosenstein, who is in turn allowing Special Counsel Robert Mueller unlimited time, money, and jurisdiction to investigate President Trump's entire life.

“I think the IG’s report is going to be blockbuster.
Really?”

The red flag is how many of the swampers are deferring to this report...as though they know in advance it will get them off the hook.y

“nothing interesting about jeff sessions. he is asleep at the wheel and nothing more.”

Occam’s razor.

We can only hope this theory is correct.

The author floated a valid idea, but it is pure speculation, and he offered no proof.

How do we know the DOJ Inspector General is clean? How do we know it is following Sessions/Trump’s orders? Certainly the office of I.G. existed before this mess came to light - where were they then?

Last night on Hanity, Gingrich told Sessions in no uncertain terms to get his ass in gear and do his job.

“I think the article presents a very strong and logical explanation for Sessions apparent inaction.

I’m tiring of the FR Sessions-bashers. The man is rock solid, and if he weren’t doing his job like he was hired to, he’d be gone. President Trump doesn’t mess around.”

It is certainly within the realm of possibility that Jeff is very active behind the scenes with some good work. However, as leaky a sieve as the DC sieve is you’d think we’d have gotten some juicy tidbits by now. We haven’t.

The only accomplishment of note that I can find for him is his strengthening of the forfeiture laws, which do little beyond screwing over honest citizens of the US

I beg to differ. As an American citizen, I will enjoy immensely the big, beautiful Border Wall built with confiscated Soros money. Throw in a little Alwaleed bin Talal and Rothschild money and maybe we could make it another 20 feet high.

everyone wants instant action . even I wanted Jeff sessions to take over and fire Muller but not anymore. Muller has proven only one thing with his probe and that is how incompetent he is at plotting to get the president impeached.

The special council has uncovered all sorts of wrong doing but it has been that of bureaucrats covering for illegal activities in the Obama administration and most of it dealing with crimes Hillary and her supporters have committed.

If instead of going after trump the probe had been stopped none of this would of come out in a credible way that those doing the crimes would of been exposed. I believe that eventually a lot of bureaucrats will be in jail over this along with Hillary.

“And Jeff Sessions, instead of being asleep, may be playing possum, lying in wait, ready to pounce when the moment is right.”

I hope the author is right.

However, my experience is that opossums don't pounce, they just sit there and let you hit them in the head with a shovel.

What is really strange is that there was no IG over the state department during Hillary’s tenure.

Obama never appointed one. Gee, I wonder why?.

Operative word in your comment is: "will."

Wishful thinking. Sessions is a swamp creature and wants Trump gone like the rest of them

Wow, so you looked up who a guy is, on the Internet.

BFD!

You STILL have to explain why you referenced BOTH his name AND that he was appointed by Obama. If you had merely mentioned that he was an Obama appointee, then that’d not merely be fine with me, but it would be a very important data point. But you OBVIOUSLY brought in his name for a reason, even though it wouldn’t matter what his name is. It could’ve been Smith, Jones, Washington, Lincoln, or anything else and it wouldn’t have mattered.

So, the question is: Why did you bring his name into it?

IMO, Sessions is doing his job with little visibility as opposed to his two predecessors that had an overwhelming amount of face time with the press.

“Thank you for posting that - those were literally the first words that came to my mind about JohnG45’s post. Those words clearly convey JohnG45’s attitude, hatefulness and ignorance.
FWIW, my real name has a similar ethnic background to that of Horowitz. I voted for Reagan twice, against Obama twice, and enthusiastically for Trump. Oh, and I’m armed. WTF does one particular person’s ethnic or religious background have to do with their political views?

JohnG45 is a moron.”

Hmmm, why are we so defensive?? Are only gentile names allowed to be stated?

I agree with you. I keep thinking he’s working behind the scenes, not wanting to tip his hand. Plus, the Clintons could have him killed, knowing them.
