Conventional wisdom is that Attorney General Jeff Sessions is asleep at the wheel – from recusing himself unnecessarily from the Trump-Russia collusion investigation to doing nothing about the politicization and weaponization of the Department of Justice. He also gave free rein to his deputy A.G., Rod Rosenstein, who is in turn allowing Special Counsel Robert Mueller unlimited time, money, and jurisdiction to investigate President Trump's entire life.

Jay Sekulow and his co-hosts were saying they were disappointed in Sessions, so I don’t know if he and Trump are doing this on purpose.

yep...President Trump is brilliant and he's a streetfighter when he has to be. He's ok with what's going on and that gives me a lot of calm. If Sessions was really just napping all day that blow up we witnessed last summer would have ended with Sessions back in Alabama and Christie or Guiliani at DOJ...but it didn't.
Okay... a well stated defense of Mr. Sessions.

Insightful article. Many of us here think poorly when they attack Sessions. His silence takes any ammo from the Dems as they helplessly watch Mueller and his team is beginning to slowly turning and twisting in the wind.

This is 100% true......Sessions is just a lazy fool...too old, tired, lazy to do anything about the current state of affairs....best reason you will ever see for term limits....Just look at the energy Tray Goudy has and Jum Jordan...Session is just too damn OLD for the job!!!! Please resign for the good of the USA.
Me too!!! And I think we'll see some of that...not everyone who deserves it but we'll see some. The DOJ HAS to do something to start rebuilding people's faith in government, in the concept of the Rule of Law and in the idea that no man is above the law. Right now those cherished ideals of our national heritage are in tatters and that can not be allowed to stand.

Another way to look at it is that Mueller's investigation is like a roach motel. He pulled a bunch of corrupt really bad actors all together in one place. A roach motel.

Sessions is a UniParty “undercover” plant”. He’s a UniParty hack that was wiggled into the Administration as AG to do just exactly what he’s currently doing. In the UniParty’s eyes, he’s doing an absolutely superb job. Obviously, he does not have this administration’s best interest as priority...just the UniParty’s interest. Trump is afraid to fire him for fear of the repercussions. Well, guess what? The repercussions are coming anyway, and given the recent FBI crap that was revealed, Trump now has more than a legit reason to dump the whole damn bunch of em over there, Sessions included. He has a mouse man in the AG slot when he needs a fricken’ bad-ass and ruthless Pit Bull....Hindsight is 20/20. Sessions was a bad choice.

Why were transcripts of Strzoks texts released that make clear he, his girlfriend and Andrew McCabe were, in complete violation of the Hatch Act, meeting in McCabe's office plotting the defeat of Donald Trump?
