The FCC will vote today to repeal the rules that require internet service providers to treat all data on the Internet the same.

I think the break was due to a bomb scare, they’re back in now.
I can’t make heads or tales out of what is best here so I’m going with an old standby: If the Left is for it, I should be against it.

For me, it’s one of those rare times I’m in agreement with the left.

The left is going nuts blaming it on Trump.
That’s pretty much how I roll, too.
Google, Facebook and Apple were unanimous in their desire for net neutrality. Verizon, AT&T and Sprint unabashedly supported it.
Can you identify any of the above who would spend three seconds defending you? I can’t either. The loser in net neutrality has been the consumer with higher fees and less innovation.
I’m sure all the above will sue to keep the rules in place. Meanwhile, they’ll be busy appeasing dictators and communist nations blocking vast swaths of the internet they claim to want wide open.

If you enjoy paying more so your ISP can give you less, decide when and where you go online and what you can do while online, then more power to ya.

Thanks. I remember when I was a kid that the comic book would cost the same, but they would keep get thinner. I have no idea how much they would cost now, but since there’s none I’d buy anyway it’s no skin offa my nose. Loved the “Golden Era” of comics, tho, fun time to be a comic-book reading kid.
They disfavor Internet access providers like Comcast etc.
Both groups will argue that the policy that favors the other would give them too much monopoly power. And both would be right to some extent....seems there is no perfect solution.
All of the tech companies except Cisco supported net neutrality. It was to their benefit and much cheaper than buying senators and congressmen for real legislation that might include things consumers assume were in the FCC rules.
