We’re all going to did sooner or later. I hope I don’t cause as much harm to do many before I do.

While we’re rooting against Republican senators, let’s put this traitor bastard under the ground. Then his daughter can be consoled by Uncle Creepy on tv again.

Okay, that was mean and I apologize to anyone offended.
I like the idea of Trump making some sort of speech on McCain’s behalf, sort of like those Lifetime Achievement Oscars, and then staying quiet when he passes on and try not to deflect from the moment.

It
is pretty amazing. However I could have been wrong about what trial McCain is going to enter. The article
here says that for McCain's trial a virus that infects only cancer cells will be used to carry a chemo agent riding on the backs of those viruses into those cells and kill them. This is not the same as BXQ-350. Regardless, both therapies are ground breaking.
Rituximab is mainly used in blood cancers like leukemia and lymphoma, but sometimes also for autoimmune disorders, so no, McCain is not going to benefit from it. But it was a wonder drug when it was introduced back in the 90s. RTX itself does not kill cancer cells. Think of it as the laser of laser guided bomb or killer drone. It illuminates a molecular target called CD20 found only on B cells (which are prone to turning cancerous), and the body's own soldier immune cells (T cells) then swoop down and destroy those cells. Very neat. And unlike chemo there are few side effects.

The average glioblastoma life expectancy is less than a year, with only around 2 percent of people living for longer than three years after diagnosis.
Holy crap. I actually thought he was going to win this battle. I think this one might even be too much for him. Wow.....that is dire.

I have the same suspicion. Something smells like bs.

Well said.
Looks like he has nothing but his seat to hold on to so he will hold it until he dies - literally.
Kind of sad and pathetic when one thinks on it.

I have read a
story about what it is like to be dying of glioblastoma. It was written by a mom whose son died of it at the age of 14. Michael Norton was a very bright boy who sang as a chorister at Guildford Cathedral in the UK. The story will almost break your heart. It also shows how a nationalized health care system works - you must wait even if you are seriously ill.

I dont wish cancer on anyone. Having cancer and dealing with nationalized health care would truly be a nightmare. One of the aspects of nationalized health care that infuriates me is it is only for the serfs, the elites get premium health care, avoiding the consequences of their actions and votes.
On the plus side, McCain is very unlikely to serve out his term. It is time for us to consider who we could support for his replacement. While our governor is a pubbie elite, even they can be influenced. I will have to start thinking about this. Maybe we could get conservatives to stop fighting over Flakes seat? Hmmm.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

I read McCain was going to be in DC on Tuesday for the vote...they wanted to vote Monday but deferred to give the Senator one more day in the hospital.
If he can't make it, it'll be interesting to see if the votes are all lined up to pass the bill despite his absence. This is going to be a cliffhanger anyway you look at it.
