Jones Wins in Alabama
Drudge Report ^

Posted on 12/12/2017 7:30:44 PM PST by panzerkamphwageneinz

Sadly, Mitch McConnell and the Republicans succeeded in what no Democrat could: Elect a democrat to the senate. This is why I left the Republican party.

“You mean another RINO?”

Nope. I mean another conservative that does not have the hint of personal baggage, whether true or not, that dems can use to build an exaggerated storyline around to defeat. Moore didn’t lose based on his politics. Jones never attacked him for his politics because Moore’s politics are aligned with the majority of voters. He lost because of his personal exposure which Jones attacked.

FRiend, you want me to believe that McConnell picked a candidate so weak, so full of flaws, so tone deaf, so unable to hold his base that that’s why super Republican Alabama is now going to have a Democrat Senator? I think not. Alabama probably had 100,000 good Republican conservatives who would have won. Instead, they got the blowhard Bannon’s candidate and lost. This is a disaster and good evidence that we cannot ignore weak and flawed candidates.

Yup. Moore was not a great candidate, but it’s inexcusable in a deep red state like Alabama that a pro abort leftist could be elected to the US Senate. Yeah, McCONman and the GOPe played a big role in this loss, but in the end it was Alabama voters who put this clown in. The holiday season got a helluva dimmer with this loss!

[Years ago I registered as a Republican solely to support a conservative primary candidate here in NJ (we have closed primaries). ]

This is precisely why I do so also. I give nothing to any national GOP campaign committee.

The GOPe is fine with that though because they are the party of corporate lobbyists and big money donors. They haven’t given a damn about the common GOP constituent in decades.

We can’t just blame the GOP establishment. Moore did a completely inept and pathetic job in refuting the charges and framing the consequences of a Jones victory for the Alabama electorate. Such as how Trump’s agenda would be completely stopped with Jones in the Senate. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a less effective communicator in politics.

1) Yes, you can.

2) Yes, he did.

3) We didn't need Moore as a communicator, we needed him as a vote.

That’s a question you have to ask the interim governor who reversed the original decision. Alabama has officially become the laughingstock of the GOP.

RIGGED...

Compare how Alabama voted tonight to the 2016 election map and 2012 election map.

We saw counties flip that never flipped.

Moreover, in Talladega Country that use to be red and ditto South Alabama since the 1980s by the coast flipped the moment they put electronic machines.

Here is the best part of the electronic voting. There are no recounts. The electronic record is erased. My gut tells me this election was stolen.

So what we saw were was a bunch of counties flip as soon as they put in an electronic voting that’s erased as soon as it’s counted.

Tell you what too Freepers. If Democrats are allowed to STEAL ELECTIONS by rigging the votes, then all this debating is meaningless.

It’s not the people who vote that count. It’s the people who count the votes.

RIGGED!

This was a seat the Republicans should never have lost. We must pick really good conservative candidates and stop listening to Bannon.

If those “conservatives” don’t think elections like this are important enough to turnout, then they have their head up their @$$. Conventional wisdom has always been that our voters are supposed to turnout in off years. What happened?

I would have voted for Moore, but he was an awful candidate. Who the hell travels to the Army-Navy game in Philadelphia on the weekend before his election date in Alabama?

You are exactly right ..Moore and his “spokespeople” were horrible... Bannon is good but couldn’t do it all by himself .. A decent and semi-polished candidate could have won this thing ...
