Man who’s been arrested 55 times in 19 years wanted in robbery case

A man who has been arrested 55 times is wanted in connection with a robbery in which he allegedly stole a necklace from a legally blind man. According to jail records, Charles Ramirez, 37, was out of Travis County Jail on a general release on Nov. 2. According to an affidavit, five days later he robbed a man at his south Austin home...Police found the necklace two days later at a pawn shop less than a mile away from the victim’s home, and records showed the seller was Ramirez. Police say Ramirez has been arrested 55 times since 1998, including on charges of theft, aggravated assault and DWI. Records show he is not in custody, but when he is bond will be set at $15,000.
