President Trump’s team wants to add another shell to the Russian-doll of the election meddling probe by appointing a second special counsel to investigate investigators.
Jay Sekulow, part of Trump’s legal team, told Axios Tuesday that connections of a demoted Justice Department official mandated a new layer of oversight.
His statement comes after a Fox News report that Bruce Ohr, demoted last week for meetings with research firm Fusion GPS, is married to someone paid by the company for work last year.
"The Department of Justice and FBI cannot ignore the multiple problems that have been created by these obvious conflicts of interests. These new revelations require the appointment of a Special Counsel to investigate,” Sekulow said.

As far as putting Jared’s father in prison, that’s good, but is Christie willing to put government crooks in prison?
Those are the ones that I am specifically interested in seeing justice metered out to, and so far no one seems to have an appetite for that.
The Deep State has much to hide.
Christie won his first election as New Jersey governor in 2009 largely on the strength of his anti-corruption campaign as a Federal prosecutor. His office successfully prosecuted two county executives and three state senators among the 200+ public officials whose cases ended in convictions or guilty pleas (without a single acquittal, I believe).
That is something, but would he go after federal crooks?
I don’t know.
But that is a good record, I do admit.
Yes. Bureaucrats are terrified of being fired. None of the high level bureaucrats, the SESes, could successfully operate as a fry cook in the private sector. Their only hope would be a charity gig at some contractor that owes them favors.
