White House press secretary Sarah Sanders isn't a big fan of the media.
Which is, of course, her right.
The relationship between any White House and any press corps tasked with covering that White House is almost always fraught and fractious.
But, on Monday, Sanders made an accusation that went way, way beyond the pale of the usual give and take between White House and press corps. Here's what she said:
"There's a very big difference between making honest mistakes and purposefully misleading the American people. Something that happens regularly. You can't say -- I'm not done. You can't say that it's an honest mistake when you are purposely putting out information that you know to be false or when you're taking information that hasn't been validated, that hasn't been offered any credibility and that has been continually denied by a number of people including people with direct knowledge of an incident. This is something that -- I'm speaking about the number of reports that have taken place over the last couple of weeks. I'm simply stating that there should be a certain level of responsibility in that process."
Yes, there is a big difference between honest mistakes and purposely misleading people by reporting information that you know to be false. But, there's absolutely zero evidence -- cited by Sanders or anyone else in the Trump administration -- that any reporter covering the Trump White House has published something they knew to be false. Not any.

If I take this correctly Cilliza is saying is the White House who should vet what the media puts out and then tell them after which they’ll.........what?
Note the weasel words Cillizza slipped in there: “cited by Sanders or by anyone else in the Trump administration”. He’s not saying that there’s no evidence, just that no one in the administration has bothered to point any of the many examples out.
Typical weasel liberal argument. He totally ignores the pertinent part of her statement that the media goes with unverified information to be first then , If wrong, issues a correction later after the damage is done without repercussions.
Simple negligence is a lot cheaper than actual malice.
I didn't catch it all but I think that's what Sarah was referring to.....a picture taken hours before the event showed a 1/2 filled stadium....Nobody in the MSM hung around long enough to see a packed crowd with people standing outside waiting to get in.....The Excuse?....They had a “deadline” to meet....lol
Her statement sounds 100% accurate and appropriate to me!
Ummmm...how many times did CNN screw up like this in the 8 years of Obama?
O! Is Boo Hoo Gurl! Me love you long time Boo Hoo Gurl!
If every “mistake” is in the same direction, then it starts to look like it’s being done on purpose.
The traitorous Nazi pigs at CNN know that when TSHTF, it’s very likely that they’ll be hanged from lampposts as enemies of the American people.
We are inches away from the deep state imploding.
she bitch slapped em hard today....shes one of the best ive ever seen....bet Trump has a nice plum job for her when shes ready.
From CNN: Not any.
What a hoot.
It started the day he opened his campaign and continued to this day.
Example: Inauguration crowd size:
The NYT’s carried this photo:
https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2017/01/20/us/politics/trump-inauguration-crowd.html
CNN posted this photo and used it to confirm that the crowd was smaller.

I mean really, it’s just stupid.
Well said.
She so gorgeous!
Shes not only honest and direct, the talented Ms. Sanders knows how to control things in a room full of bullies.
She is truly talented.
There’s a very big difference between making honest mistakes and purposefully misleading the American people.
Truth
I would tell them that they should thank God we don't come after them with pitchforks and torches for saddling us with that sack of sh*t Obama whom they elected and protected through their lies and omissions.
She make a my heart sing rike rittle flowers! Me so much a love Boo Hoo Gurl!
Sarah Sanders is fantastic!
The best defense the #FakeNews media has:
“You cannot prove we knew it was false”.
