Akayed Ullah, a 27-year-old Bangladeshi native, detonated part of his “low tech” explosive at 7:30 a.m. and was injured in an underground subway passage just 200 feet from the bus terminal at West 42nd St. and Eighth Ave., officials said. Three commuters suffered minor injuries, officials said.
After the explosion, Port Authority cops moved in and struggled with Ullah, who had wires attached to his body, sources said.
He tried to set off the rest of his bomb, but only part of it went off. Two PAPD officers grabbed him and successfully removed the explosives without further incident.

That would work..
Get a few ‘families’ expelled for the actions of one, including revoking all green cards etc, do it a few times for ‘minor’ infractions and they will start keeping on eye on each other and when one starts to ‘act up’ they will start policing themselves.

What would prompt a person born in this country to get the urge to go fight Americans in the Middle East or anywhere else.

I don’t think they should have underground tunnels for pedestrians. Too easy to target. Make everybody go up to the street and then down again at the other station if they want to transfer between subways.
