There are times one wishes the six day war had been two weeks.
Some Israelis were and are still locked into the concept of somehow, someway bringing the Arabs around to recognizing them by showing mercy (which with these scum never works). The UN and the world then invented the concept of Land for Peace, which with these scum also never works. The whole idea of compromise in the Arab-Muslim world is seen as one thing and one thing only - WEAKNESS to be taken advantage of...
The Leftist media threw a Day of Rage, and no one showed up.
Not the “Arab Street” slogan-ing again! That’s when you know the MSM is trying to force us to let Hamas and they Muslim Brotherhood do whatever they want and be given out tax dollars for it to boot. Maybe it should be called the “Arab Footpath.”
He voted for Hillary and made some virulent anti-Trump comments during the run up to the election. He has no credibility.
Thanks for this post infused with real knowledge of the Arab/Middle East/Israel scene. I was quite unaware of these propaganda methods used to keep the Arab subjects in check.
But what you say makes great sense.
If you'd like to be on or off, please FR mail me.

Maybe the Arabs don't care about the somewhat self-centered palestinian Arabs. Newcomers to the Arab world.
A key line in this:
“Nor did it help the Palestinians that many of them sided with the Assad regime, alienating former partners from Amman to Beirut.”
You can always count on the Palestinians to choose so wisely /sarcasm.
The bastard stepchildren of the Middle East are now going to find it’s time to grow up and make do with what they have.
It’s all a show but fueled with real anger and frustration. Instead of directing their anger at thier leaders, they direct it against non-Muslims or other Muslims not in your sect.
Add the Holy month of Ramadan when they abstain from food, drink and sex for 30 whole days only breaking the fast at dinner! Then, they’re REALLY pissed off!
Note that during Ramadan, it is a great deed to kill Infidels or poorly behaving other Muslims so you will be making the VIRTUAL Haj or holy pilgimage to Mecca. They earn extra Brownie points by killing during that festive month. Just look at the data. All year long they kill, maim and rape but during that holiday it is even worse for the rest of us...
He has no credibility WITH YOU, you don’t speak for me.
Regardless on his Trump/Hillary vote he is certainly a smart, seasoned, Pro-America strategist who has a lot of credible insight into the Middle East.
I don’t always agree with conclusions but I always make it my goal to at least read people like Christopher Hitchens (when he was alive, Camille Paglia (an FR favorite who voted for Jill Stein but really liked Palin a lot), Stephen F. Cohen (a liberal professor who really likes how Trump is interacting with Russia) and even Cohen’s wife, Katrina Vanden Heuvel, who is as far left as it gets.
We don’t do ourselves any good shutting out everyone we have an issue with.
As someone who has lived in the ME for seven years, I dont share your assessment of Petersexpertise in the region. He gets it wrong more often than not.
The fact that he could publicly announce that he was voting for Hillary and cite her foreign policy credentials is prima facie evidence that he does not know sh*t from shinola.
"Stuart, I think Hillary Clinton is despicable," he said. "She has committed criminal acts. She's greedy, she's corrupt, and yes, I'm going to vote for her. I'm going to vote for Republicans down the ballot, but I'm voting for Hillary Clinton because it's a vote against Donald Trump. I don't want Moscow's man in the White House."
You should consider writing a book on this subject.
I used to think Peters was a great guy, now when I see him as a guest on Varney or any other show, I flip right past. Haven’t heard his opinion in a year.
Wait until the "Alabama street" rises up.

Im surprised there wasnt more violence.
Ya think so? I live it everyday but I lack the scholarly titles...
I’m wondering if the new Saudi king cut off the financing for “Arab Street Explosions”?
