President Donald Trump slammed Washington Post politics reporter (and former Journolist) Dave Weigel for posting a photo mocking Trump for the size of the crowd at his rally Friday night in Pensacola, Florida that was actually taken well before Trump entered the venue. Weigel mockingly quoting Trumps tweet about the rally, Packed to the rafters.
As The Gateway Pundit reported earlier Saturday, liberals online, including the site Raw Story, were spreading a photo of the rally taken well before Trump took the stage at the Pensacola Bay Center that showed many empty sections of seats. It was falsely claimed that Trump could be seen entering the rally in the photo. Several reporters took to Twitter to debunk the false claims, posting photos and videos from the rally while Trump was actually on stage.
Weigel replied to Trumpbut was still surlyaccusing Trump of lying about the photo. Sure thing: I apologize. I deleted the photo after @dmartosko told me Id gotten it wrong. Was confused by the image of you walking in the bottom right corner.
Weigel later laughed off a critic, It was a bad tweet on my personal account, not a story for Washington Post. I deleted it after like 20 minutes. Very fair to call me out. Everything I say on Twitter is a joke, except what I say about @swin24.

Ping!
I think he saw a picture of Trump in a walkway and thought he was ready to go to the stage. That was before the building was filled. If the guy does not have a history of this crap, I don’t like to see people lose their jobs for something that is not really earthshaking.
No replies.
It's usually announced at some point, but my research turned up no figures.
I understand there was also another large crowd outside that couldn't get in.
My point is...you can't counter fake news of this sort without facts and figures...and for some odd reasons, the figures on the rally's attendance can't be found.

Also, that is not Trump in that walkway. The photo was taken hours before the event started and Trump was still in Washington.
Your photo in #10 is a lot different from the one posted with the article. It looks to me like the same arena but was taken during a different event. The first one looks like it has Christmas decorations or something.
Simple, Trump should start giving the news organizations - not individual reporters - a time out from holding WH Press Passes. Say at least a week at a time.
A few of these and the media bosses would clean up their reporters acts or lose total access.
PS I would also include reporters postings on FB and twitter...:^)
gonna have to quit using it
I disagree.
Even if so-called "reporters" were banned, they would just keep making up $hit.
Like the NYT article out today that *somehow* just KNOWS what the POTUS does in his bedroom each morning.
And KNOWS what the President is thinking.
The media is composed soley of brown-eyed people.
People so filled to the brim with feces that their eyes turn that color.
The MSM is the Country’s greatest threat.
Normally I would agree with you... but have you noticed these ‘journalists’ don’t make ‘mistakes’ that damage democrats?
Kind of like a store that makes ‘mistakes’ on prices - but ALL the ‘mistakes’ are ones that give MORE money to the store. We call that stealing.
“Thousands of people filled the 12,000-seat Pensacola Bay Center on Friday night for Trump’s “Make America Great Again” rally as hundreds were left waiting in line to get in as the doors were closed.”

The Pensacola News Journal also states “President Donald J. Trump greets a capacity crowd gathered at the Pensacola Bay Center Friday December 8, 2017.”
I tried to post this article on its own thread, but I get an error message “Gannet”. I am afraid I don’t know what that means.

Weigel was a JournOlist member and was let go by WP for some of his posts to the list during the 2008campaign. However they hired him back a few years later. He also took part in covering (bashing) the tea party activities regularly.
Before that, he was a regular contributor to Reason. More than once he was accused of being a statist and finally left for the WaPo, confirming the low opinion others held of his politics.
Well, I guess that explains why my post wouldn’t go through. Thank you for your response, I didn’t understand what that meant.
