One of the women who accused Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore of making advances on her when she was a teen and he a local prosecutor admitted Friday to writing part of the yearbook inscription she offered as proof, a new crack in her story that gives Moore an opening to attack her credibility.
Beverly Young Nelson admitted to ABC News that she added “notes” beneath what she says is Roy Moore’s signature in her high school yearbook – an inscription that she and famed attorney Gloria Allred presented as proof the then-30-something Moore sought an inappropriate relationship with her in the late 1970s. The “notes” below the signature appear to be the handwritten date and location. Nelson still insisted that Moore wrote most of the message.
“Beverly, he did sign your yearbook?" ABC’s Tom Llamas asked her.
“He did sign it,” she said.
“And you made some notes underneath?” Llamas asked.
“Yes,” she replied.
While Nelson did not specify exactly what she added to the inscription, the text beneath Moore's signature reads: "12-22-77 Olde Hickory House.”
During her original press conference with Allred in November, in which she made her original accusation, Nelson read aloud and attributed the entire inscription to Moore, including the date and location.
"He wrote in my yearbook as follows: 'To a sweeter more beautiful girl, I could not say Merry Christmas, Christmas, 1977, Love, Roy Moore, Olde Hickory House. Roy Moore, DA,'" she said.

So he changed pens between first & last name, then someone else used the second pen to add notes. What’s the proof of forgery?

Lost all credibility to reasonable people with the disclosure of the lie, but it won’t make a difference to the liberal left. Any accusation toward Judge Moore will be treated as Gospel fact.
She looks far older than a woman in her 50s. Unless she’s had a really hard life.
They still won’t release the yearbook for independent forensic review.
It’s Friday and the special election is on Tuesday.
Guess it will have to wait until the lawsuit.

When every person who looked at that yearbook said the writing did not match up, why did she simply not say “The writing on the bottom is a note added by me”?
Sure, it would have made the story more complicated, but it would have been less obviously and demonstrably false.
Next, we will learn that he did not sign it, and she added a facsimile of his signature from her later divorce decree as just another note, which explains the “D. A.” note.
Please elaborate. What is DU’s reaction to Franjen? Are they actually angry at him, or is it mostly directed toward Republican targets?

I don’t recall yearbooks ever coming out around Christmas. We always got them later in the year, nearer graduation time.

I know. But it would be great if they all ended up getting charged themselves.
Worst part about it, IMHO, is that Moore really can’t do anything about it, as much as I would love to see him bury the both of them under the jail. It would do nothing to improve his standing.
But, I do think/believe that this gives the voters of Alabama, those that were holding their noses, a breath of fresh air and be able to truly support the man.

Right - those are not “notes” they are written in to look like part of the signature.
Did they ask her to turn it over for forensic analysis? When did she make her “notes”? How old is the supposed signature from Moore?
