A naval blockade would be a strategic move to interdict North Korean missiles in addition to armament the U.S. has on the ground. This would be its primary objective.
Naval blockades are acts of war under international law, so one country may legally blockade another only if it is acting in individual or collective self-defense—the standard requirements for going to war—or the U.N. Security Council has proclaimed the action necessary to maintain international peace. Take your pick, any of the above could be the answer. But. at lest, it will force Korea to defecate or get off the pot. This continual run of empty threats needs to be exposed. The little mole is aware he is badgering the bear. But it’s the only way he can save face with the poor way he is running his little kingdom.

So their threatening to “annihilate” us is peachy, but the possibility that we may conduct a preemptive blockade is an “act of war”. Roger that.
The US (or UN) Naval Blockade is a good idea, and a useful tool. We ARE at WAR with North Korea, and have been, since June 25, 1950. Get USED to it.

Just a hypothetical: Suppose that, in an effort to embarrass the United States, a Russian or a Chinese ship attempts to run the blockade. Then what?
I suppose that a warning shot across the bow would be the traditional response. But then what if the Russian or Chinese captain is bold, or has specific instructions? Than what?
If so it seems Kim is going after our ability to respond to a first strike (submarines) which means he is seriously considering a nuclear war that he can survive and emerge victorious/survive.
Most likely the Chinese are using them to ascertain this knowledge - one of these NK missiles needs to malfunction and change trajectory and head toward Beijing.

The war is coming anyway, the longer we wait, the more loss of life will occur on our side..time to cut bait or fish
President Trump should go to the UN immediately and request a blockade. When/if that fails,he will have more, as they say, flexibility.
