The attack that left Republican Sen. Rand Paul with six cracked ribs outside his Kentucky home came after a long-simmering disagreement with a 17-year neighbor over grass clippings, according to a report.
An acquaintance of both men said the fellow doctors stood in their yards about 10 years ago and shouted at each other about grass clippings that Pauls lawn mower sprayed onto Bouchers property, the Washington Post reported.
The feds said they are investigating the case, in which Boucher could be charged under federal statutes that include a provision that bars assaults on members of Congress and other high-ranking government officials, the paper reported.

I hope they throw the book at the guy. Fighting over grass clippings? really. I love grass clippings because I compost.

10 years ago? Why don’t I believe that that has anything to do with the attack?

Fake news. A shouting match 10 years ago, yet Boucher never brought any issues up to the HOA.

They really need to come up with a more marketable story. Some lawn clippings blew in the guy’s yard 17 years ago provoking an ambush attack almost 2 decades later?

This man is a walking danger to society, since he has such little self control. I’m trying to picture how he did so much damage with one quick tackle. He must have set out to damage the Senator as much as possible.
I thought I had read that there would be a Court Hearing on November 30th. I didn’t hear anything about it at all. What a hateful fool.
No wonder his wife left with the children some years ago.
Why isn’t anyone trying to ask her questions?
Of course, personal experience may have taught her to be afraid of making him angry.

I bet he waited that long so he could have the element of surprise.

Purely anecdotal but it has been my general experience that men who are overly focused on yard care are not the most pleasant people to be around. I once had a neighbor who obsessed over autumn leaves and he would run the leaf blower for hours on ends, chasing even a few leaves around the yard until he had them in a little pile. Then he'd bag them. He would fill dozens of those big brown paper sacks and have them lined up on the curb.
He hated it when leaves blew from my yard into his yard. But I wasn't going to deal with them until all the trees were bare. That was not the approach he wanted me to take. He probably thought I was a jerk. I'm sure many of my leaves ended up in his bags.

Bull crap! Theyre trying desperately to create an alternate reality to explain the attack. This was an intentional unprovoked blind-side attack by a leftist to take out a critical conservative Republican vote in the Senatesimilar to the leftist attempted mass murder of Republicans in the baseball field attack.
