Jose Ines Garcia Zarate was found not guilty of murder in the death of San Francisco woman Kate Steinle, but a grand jury has other plans for the controversial defendant, indicting him on new charges. In a press release, officials revealed that a federal grand jury indicted Garcia Zarate Tuesday afternoon on being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, and for being an illegally present alien in possession of a firearm and ammunition.
Officials said the indictment "merely alleges that a crime has been committed and Garcia-Zarate, like all defendants, is presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt."
I recall earlier this year that the ICE people were funded for additional administrative Judges to process the illegals quickly.
Are you sure? Shooting happened 1 July 2015.
He may have been released due to time served or soon will be released. Federal charges need to be filed by DOJ immediately.
But the sticker is Jose is being held in a sanctuary city of San Fransicko. And Mexifornia is going to be a sanctuary state 1 January 2018 (SB 54).
My thought is that you look at what he was aquited for, then charge him with other counts.
You could probably find some fairly similar charges, with different criminal codes.
Then go after the guy tooth and nail,
This SOB deserves the death penalty.
“Wouldnt a murder charge be double jeopardy?”
Seems like it. But he was never charged by Frisco DA with involuntary Manslaughter. Maybe the Feds. could add that charge to the gun violation as well.
Generally the lawyers like jurors to have IQs under 80.
Actually, the only bite of the apple the Feds are taking pertains only to federal law - immigration related charges only they can file. The murder charge is off the table, since the SF cretins gave him a pass.
Yep.
And for them to be brainwashed dependent ComDems.
