Dan Rather: Trump's Behavior 'Is Not Normal'

President Donald Trump’s behavior is out of the ordinary for a president, according to veteran news reporter Dan Rather Monday night on the TBS talk show "Conan."

"A lot of young people, well, people of all ages don’t know, from one day to the next, what he’s going to do, what he’s going to say," host Conan O’Brien said.

"It is important for us to remember this is not normal," Rather said.

He noted that some presidents have not liked the press, but no president has behaved as Trump has toward the press. "We’ve never had one that steadily, out of his own mouth, waged such an unrelenting campaign against the press," he said.

Dan Rather, who famously quit his post as the anchor for “CBS Evening News” in 2004 after airing “fake news” about President George W. Bush, has been caught up in another episode.

This time it’s about his 2012 book, “Rather Outspoken: My Life in the News,” which features an image of Rather as a Marine.

Rather apparently supplied the image to the publisher, which shows him in Marine dress blues and the famous white saucer cap, with the caption, “As a young Marine.”

Only he wasn’t.

He washed out of boot camp while trying to become a Marine.

The story is explained in a document posted online by the blog MilitaryCorruption.com.

In the book, the blog explains, “the then 81-year-old liberal icon and disgraced former CBS anchorman didn’t say word one about the Corps in the text, but shockingly in the photos section, there was a headshot of a smiling, young Dan wearing Marine dress blues, including the famed white saucer cap, with the caption, ‘As a young Marine.’

I referenced that above. At the sub shop a couple nights ago, ran into a young guy about to head off to boot camp. I told him, you achieve the Globe and Anchor, you’ll be a Marine and that puts you ahead of lying Dan Rather (paraphrased).

I told him, at least that’s how I understand it from actual Marines. I wished him good luck and told him to watch himself in SoCal, nonetheless. (what with Kommiefornia protecting illegals with felony records).

I suggest that Dan read more about Andrew Jackson and Teddy Roosevelt histories while President. Jackson was not a Washington inside enjoyed caning people, threw non-politically correct parties and pushed back when challenged.
