NFL’s Hail Mary: Deal would dole out millions to Soros-linked social-justice groups

Players Coalition reportedly strikes $89 million deal with NFL team owners

Plagued by sagging ratings, player protests and fan outrage, the NFL has thrown a political Hail Mary by reportedly agreeing to dole out millions of dollars to two social justice groups connected to Democratic billionaire George Soros.

Under an agreement with the Players Coalition, NFL owners plan to funnel tens of millions of dollars to the Dream Corps, a leftist advocacy group led by former Obama adviser Van Jones and linked to Mr. Soros, which has called for saving the Clean Power Plan, cutting the prison population by half and providing “sanctuary for all.”

The $89 million, seven-year deal also carves out millions of dollars for the Players Coalition, according to ESPN, which has been advised by Soros-funded groups such as the Campaign for Fair Sentencing of Youth and the Center for American Progress, a leader of the anti-Trump “resistance.”

No, it’s not the rest of the story because individuals will say it’s not good enough, and the kneeling and thuggery will continue. Big story last week was one savage ripping a gold chain off another and the resulting fight.

That pretty much tears it, or tears it completely apart. The NFL is now an in-your-face gold mine for hard Left causes: open borders, open criminality, and it's all coming right out of the fans' pockets. Takeover's complete. NFL delenda est.

“Still there’s no guarantee that the hefty payout will solve the league’s public relations woes.”

Oh, so they think that’s what’s going to happen?

So they spend millions to appease their employees and are promised nothing in return, and continue to ignore the fans.

I had held out some hope for the NFL. Now I hope it just crashes and burns. Soon.

What do you expect from an outfit where clintonista Joe Lockhart is a big shot? F’em, f’em all.

Re Van Jones and the Dream Corps. Who says that communism doesn’t pay? First a White House “czar” job, then the Soros funded Center for American Progress “fellow” or whatever his title is, a paid job, and now possibly millions from dumbassed white liberals and cowards at the NFL to Jones.

Damned”, as Negan would say. “This guy has balls the size of Kansas and a paycheck to match. He out-Sharpton’s Sharpton. He’s my kinda guy”.

Sounds like another place that was cutting the population by half.

LITERALLY by half!

This is a good ole fashion case of blackmail.

Kapernick was the pawn in this scheme to hold the NFL hostage until they paid up. And now we are seeing it happen.

My only question is who are the high profile communist/socialist pigs who orchestrated this from he get-go?

Curious what will be taking the place of the NFL.

For starters they can be called the American Football League.

Re “Let the kneelers put their own money where their mouths are”.

Could do a lot with this sentence, such as

“You’re gonna need more kneepads if they put their mouths where their moneymakers are”.

“The owners are gonna need more kneepads just to satisfy the football player kneelers (who will stand this time).”

Only slaves and cowards kneel! Free men stand!

The NFL peaked during the “Super Seventies.”

The league’s racial dynamics have gotten worse and worse with every year roughly since Dwight Clark made “The Catch.”

I still follow the NFL scores and highlights at a rather minimal level, if only to support the shrinking minority of white players still remaining.

Back in the Super Seventies, you still had black players who were sportsmen and deserved to be on that field for their talent and grit. My beloved Shula-era Miami Dolphins had Paul Warfield and Larry Little, but the team was still largely white.

These black players today are nothing like that. I can’t even recognize them as fellow Americans.

And as for the white players — if I had a son, would I want him to play a violent sport largely dominated by criminals?

Harsh words, these. And yes, there are plenty of decent black people out there.

But I don’t think many of them are playing in the NFL.

Unless the racial dynamics of the NFL change 180 degrees, things will only get worse.

In a nation of 330 million people, there simply has to be roughly 1,600 young men with the skill and discipline to play this uniquely American game as it was meant to be played.

The problem here is that the putatively “gifted,” i.e. the blacks, are no longer the disciplined. The white minority endures a stigma of athletic mediocrity, regardless of the fact that white players do well on the rare occasions they are allowed to. For example, it took the Vikings’ Adam Thielen four years to emerge as a top wide receiver.

Personally, whether it’s sports, business, volunteer organizations or whatever, I would prefer to lead a team that’s disciplined and committed than a bunch of prima donnas.

But that’s not our world today.

NO ONE should attend an NFL game, buy any merchandise, or patronize any business advertising with the NFL if they are going to promote Soros’ agenda with their idiot players. Isn’t that sedition, to support his causes?

To finally drive a stake through the heart of the NFL we just need another flurry of domestic abuse incidents.

Anybody agree that these will be even more hushed-up in the future?
