In One German Region, Unemployment of Migrant Crisis Arrivals is 96 Per Cent

Migrant unemployment continues to be a major problem with the district of Salzlandkreis seeing only 56 out of 1,530 migrants registered at the jobcentre able to find full-time work. While the number is up from last year, when 24 migrants were in full-time positions, the total percentage of the total migrant workforce on work is only 3.6 per cent, Mitteldeutsche Zeitung reports.

“The refugee target group still presents a special challenge,” head of the district employment agency Thomas Holz said. Mr. Holz said the main issues are the language barrier and the recognition of qualifications and academic degrees from overseas.

Saxony-Anhalt, where the district is located, had a total of 13,600 migrants with asylum status out of work according to a report from the middle of the year.

While the district is looking for more skilled workers, Holz said he was not optimistic that Syrian and Afghan migrants would be able to fill the various positions due to the difficulty of the language barrier, noting that some migrants had been in the country for years and still struggled to learn German.

Could have something to do with the fact that these are not migrants. And there never was a crisis.

The average IQ in most of the ME is 80.
2/3rds of syrians are illiterate in Arabic. It’s even worse for Libyans.
GREAT workforce they are importing.

Sounds like an astute observation.

Yikes.

“Unskilled, uneducated Muslims were supposed to be the solution to Europe’s declining birthrate.”

No different than here. When Bush was pushing amnesty, he said we needed the uneducated, illiterate illegals to pay into our Social Security.

What a surprise ! Did anyone really think that (mm)uslims will change their behavior or work ethics? Most of them are there for whatever they can get and than some and while there screw around and replicate until the host becomes overwhelmed. In the long run no one is better off.

Why not import another 14,000? You are bound to get a better batch one of these times. Maybe 93%. (They are stupid enough to try it.)

Did Merkel really seriously believe some camel jockeys were coming over to fill jobs? She couldn't have could she?

I imagine that they get 1 out 10 migrants that actually succeed in having careers and paying into Germany’s very expensive social security net. Another 1 or 2 will end up in dead end jobs not making enough money to pay taxes. The other 7, like we all damn well knew, will either end up on welfare or criminal activities.

I think that’s a reasonable assumption.

It seems to me, the best help possible, is help that addresses people in their home nation.

If need be, perhaps they should relocate in the region where their attitudes will be more easily accepted.

We should not be the destination of choice for all these people.

Once again, if we need more people, we need to encourage larger families and make it possible for families to survive in larger numbers.

We need to encourage births within marriage, and a dedication to the children so that they are raised properly, and given good morals to live by.

The family is the building block of any nation.

Making that building block as rock solid as possible, makes perfect sense.

I’m going to get guff from this, but IMO parenting is part of the adult growth process.

If you haven’t parented children in a two parent home, you’ve abdicated part of your adult responsibility.

Adoption is a fine substitute for natural child birth. You still take on the responsibility to raise good children. You’re there for them, and have to deal with life’s tribulations related to them.

I respect a person that has been married and been through that fire and the fire of raising children the most.

Granted, some people who have had children are not logical. Others who haven’t are.

As a general guideline, the married person with children who came through it a logical thinking human being with Right leaning values, is the person I want in charge.

Single parents who have gone through the child-rearing process through no fault of their own, and have done a good job, get a lot of respect from me too.

It’s the trial by fire and the reaction to it, the survival, the perseverance and having faced this home setting, that is important.

Single folks do not face the trial by fire that married folks do. I would include single parents in this, but I do want to consider if bad decisions resulted in this.

None the less, we all make bad decisions and turn things around by dedicating ourselves to doing so.

I’m not trying to be unfair in this.

I think not.

I’ve been around Germany since summer of 2013 and watched the whole thing unfold.

I would say that there was a majority of Germans in the favorable category...up until the Koln New Year’s eve riot (31 Dec 2015). After that riot and the information flow that occurred for two months...I’d say that the fired-up super positive crowd are down to about 35-percent at this point. Most Germans now ask questions....associate the young male problem with incompetence by Merkel and the Bundestag crowd...and don’t really believe either of the big national parties can solve any of this.

From an operational point, and processes used...the government plan from 2014 to present is mostly something that you’d expect out of a group of fifth-grade kids. Tons of money wasted...inability to grasp consequences of actions...and intellectuals unable to think their way out of this mess.

My general expectation is that a weak coalition comes out of Merkel’s recent election, and in the 2021 election...both major parties will be unable to get more than 40-percent of the national vote combined. Public confidence is something that won’t exist in the next election.

Everyone makes their choices. I love being a parent and being there for my children. I am not particularly ambitious so that works for me. :) I respect our nations’ business leaders and innovators for what they do, but I could never have or want that for myself. They work too hard and likely have little time for their families. I don’t want to miss anything with my children and that might make me a little obsessive.

Just sitting down with my 4 year old, and watching Paw Patrol is heaven.
