Democrat Kathleen Rice is as fed up with Washington D.C. as the rest of the country.
During an interview with CNN's Anderson Cooper Wednesday night, Rice fumed about the double standard between the private sector and taxpayer funded politicians being protected on Capitol Hill.
"It's that kind of response that leads everyday Americans to say, 'What is going on in Washington? Why is everyone in the private sector held accountable and yet when the same kind of behavior is exposed in Washington D.C., they circle the wagons and protect their own?'" Rice said. "I for one am not going to be in that position.

While men like Harvey Weinstein, Matt Lauer, Charlie Rose and a long list of others have been fired for bad behavior, albeit maybe belatedly, politicians like Rep. John Conyers and Senator Al Franken get to stay and make their own decisions about resignation.
Yesterday Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi held a meeting to discuss sexual harassment with members. Rice walked out, saying she "doesn't have time for meetings that aren't real." She has introduced a bipartisan bill with Republican Rep. Barbara Comstock that would require sexual harassment training for all members of Congress, in addition to an overhaul of the reporting system on Capitol Hill.
Double standard? Lords and Serfs?
Because the ruling class and the media are not professionals.
Will Nancy's protection of her DC/Dem sexual perverts and predators end up taking Nancy out or removing her from her minority leadership position?
That means you, Congresswoman.
Because the Liberal elite has abandoned God. One cannot expect honor fro, such men.
Bill Clinton RAPED and SEXUALLY ASSAULTED women through-out his entire political career.
All along the way - fellow democrats and the fake legacy news media protected him.
He is STILL A HERO OF THE LEFT TODAY.
And you wonder why other democrats act they way they do????
Sounds pretty brave of her actually. She places her career on the line.
Well, the Hollywood/media types just started being held accountable like a month ago so it’s not like that’s been going on for decades while politicians have skated by or anything.
Ms. Rice is running for president. A woman that is not Hillary. Even if she loses she makes a killing making speeches.
But, she’s right about congress being above the law.
AHHH! At least put some makeup on that mug!
C'mon Kathleen, you can do it!!
“Sexual harassment training” would be a joke and just another frivolous way to spend money. These are grown people who have made their way to congress. They know what’s right and wrong. Just get rid of this system of paying off claims with taxpayer money and hiding the incidents from the public. If a few of these people get hit personally with 6 figure judgments I think everything will end up taking care of itself.
Could be something about those scumbags making the rules. See tagline.
We need a way to cut these overbearing lawmakers down to size.........maybe start with reducing their office budgets and the size of their staffs.
Plus there's too many committees where they can throw their weight around.
And these separatist caucuses must go.....there's a Caribbean Caucus, an Hispanic Caucus, a Black Caucus.... God knows what else......and all getting blanketed with our tax dollars.
BTW, there's even a Muslim Staff Committee organized to influence our govt. This MUST GO.

Why do working Americans have to take random drug tests to kerp working while welfare recipient’s and other people who live off of their taxes like congressmen do not?
Is this a democrat who believes in her ideals and morality? Doth thine eyes deceive me?
” She has introduced a bipartisan bill with Republican Rep. Barbara Comstock that would require sexual harassment training for all members of Congress, in addition to an overhaul of the reporting system on Capitol Hill.”
She talks about the openly protected people in government, then creates a bill that will take a long time to get into the works, that kicks occurrences down the road by placing additional roadblocks up to make it appear something is being done. There are already laws in place to handle rape. Just enforce them. You don’t need more “stinkeen” laws. No smoke zone, please.
