A lot of “whispering” going on behind closed doors. After Matt push the locking switch! Some suggest kidnapping. No attorney here. But surely “unlawful restraint” comes to mind. He and NBC may be giving out million$ before this mess if over.
Something doesn’t sound right about that whole “locking switch” angle. I can see why someone would want to lock a private office from the inside, but a locking device that trapped someone in the office would seem to be a clear violation of even a half-assed building code.
The switch just meant he did not have to leave his desk to lock the door.
I doubt it was some secret third dead bolt.
Was wondering how long before (when, not if) this becomes a criminal prosecution.
Meanwhile Lauer and NBC better get their checkbooks ready.
