President Donald Trump questioned the politics of his decision to finally acknowledge former President Barack Obama was born in the US, which he did late during the campaign in 2016, according to a source close to the White House.
The source said that shortly after he made the statement, Trump told aides that he would have done better in the polls had he continued to stand his ground on the birth certificate issue.
Trump has continued to question the legitimacy of Obama's birth certificate during private conversations in recent months, The New York Times reported Tuesday, citing advisers who discussed Trump's statements.
Trump still questioning Obama's birthplace is just one of several instances The Times pointed to as examples of the President's reliance on "manufactured facts," as the newspaper reported Tuesday.
One sitting US senator quoted by the Times, "who listened as the President revived his doubts" about the issue, "chuckled" when speaking about what was said. Trump "has had a hard time letting go of his claim that Mr. Obama was not born in the United States," the senator, who "asked not to be named to discuss private conversations," told The New York Times.

A Canadian birth makes the appearance of Stanley Ann at the University of Washington near the end of August, 1961, much more plausible.
My recollection from a thread years ago is that the records of those entering the US at Bellingham,WA were missing or destroyed for that time frame in 1961.
Thus, while everyone is looking for records of those coming from overseas in August, 1961(of which ones for an entire week are missing, and perhaps purposely so, to feed the false Kenyan narrative), no one looks at Canada—a classic deflection technique.
Personally, I don’t believe that Barack Obama Sr. is Zero’s biological father. I think he agreed to the role in order to stay in HI for schooling, and was probably paid to be “married” to Stanley Ann. The baby Zero was important to the Communist cell that Frank Marshall Davis and the Senior Dunhams belonged to.
In any event the entire “biography” of Zero is spun of whole cloth. He was groomed by someone to be who he became, and he was always an enemy of the Republic.

Two points. Throughout his presidency, Obama alluded to his Kenyan birth. He did it jokingly, but it was just as you posted above: misdirection, to keep people from seeing the obvious: Seattle with a newborn, and an aunt in Canada.
As for the missing records, that was not misdirection. This was in ‘61, when it was typical for mothers who could do so to be with their daughters during the first birth. Almost certainly Granny Dunham flew to Canada to be with her only child. This explains why Obama identified the third week in July as his birthdate. That’s when he was actually born, but August 4 is the day Granny, having flown back to HI, managed to effect a shady ‘birth record,’ for her grandson. She wanted him to be a US citizen.
One thing I left out. The original idea was for Stanley Ann to give the baby up for adoption. For whatever reason that plan fell through. That’s why Granny had to record a HI birth. They hadn’t thought giving birth in Canada would be an issue, bc SA was supposed to leave the baby there.

Granny Dunham was a volunteer at the HI Probate Court as I recall, thus she had access to records.
And it was a Commie Party tactic to use birth records of dead infants to obtain false SS numbers, to obtain benefits fraudulently.

Analysis of audio recordings showing an engine running normally after a supposed “catastrophic engine failure”. Photographic proof that the engine was still getting fuel as normal at the very time that the pilot claimed the engine was dead.
