Khaled Al-Batash, one of the senior leaders of the Islamic Jihad terrorist group in Gaza, reiterated on Saturday that the organization is determined to retaliate for Israel blowing up a terror tunnel which led from Gaza into Israel, resulting in the deaths of 17 terrorists, most of them members of the Islamic Jihad.
The bodies of 12 of the terrorists were recovered by the Palestinian Authority (PA), while Israel recovered and is holding the bodies of the remaining five.
In an interview with the Palestinian Arab Quds Press news agency, Batash said, "We are not discussing with anyone our right to respond to the killing of 12 Palestinian fighters inside the tunnel and we will not give up this right.
Batash added that the response to the tunnel bombing by Israel is "a right that is not subject to discussion or concession."
Asked about Egyptian and Israeli pressure on the Islamic Jihad to refrain from retaliating, Batash said that "Israel does not frighten us and the response to the killing of our martyrs and our people by the Zionists will be determined by the Al-Quds Brigades (the Islamic Jihads armed wing ed.) which decides on the response and its implementation at the appropriate moment.
Earlier this month, Khader Habib, a senior Islamic Jihad operative in Gaza, said his organization reserved the "right" to respond to the "crime" committed by the "enemy", a reference to the blowing up of the terror tunnel.

“I absolutely hate it when people are too lazy to look up things on their own instead demanding sources - “
You posted a statement as fact.
YOU are supposed to be able to back up that statement.
.
Actually it’s pretty easy to do an internet search.
I know it is-——that’s why the poster should do it to back up a statement posted as a fact.
..
I absolutely hate it when people are too lazy to support their own claims with evidence; instead demanding others accept their claims uncritically, or prove the claims wrong....
“Most of the 17 killed were child laborers...”
Which insinuates that the Israelis who blew up the tunnel are babykillers, a controversial assertion which requires sources as proof.
Thanks Eleutheria5. An appropriate response would be to smart-bomb the so-called Quds news bureau. From the FRchives:
And we’ll dig a really strong tunnel going far into occupied territory, and attack you. Bet you didn’t think of that!
Troll
Right ... go find it yourself its is there for the looking.
Ahh, go on...
You’re BOTH right.
Common practice in every scholarly work is to include footnotes or end-notes. Conservative authors have had to take that to the next level and annotate their works out the wazoo so as force libtard critics to face the facts.
Now, amongst ourselves, assertions can often times be taken at face value; we’re not a pack of liars over here, after all. So, in that context, yeah, it never hurts ti go search it out yourself to find the substance behind the assertion. On the other side of it, though, FR doesn’t exist in a vacuum; we get lurkers from “the outside” who could well benefit from seeing such assertions well-cited. The not-yet-Freeper conservative seeing things here will be comforted to observe that we deal in known facts, and other more critical minds will be forced to admit that our assertions are not without factual basis.
There’s benefit to having it either way, and it’s not a hill worth dying on no matter which.
Three points:
My question on whether Israelis are babykillers remains as yet unanswered.
We at FR are inclined to support & defend Israel, especially against charges of atrocities against civilians.
As for the need for up-front cites to back up assertions, I rest my case.
;^)

Yes, but...I only saw today that Uranium One is a Canadian company.
I know I’ve read more than ten articles on it, and only one mentioned it. That’s troubling.
Every article needs to reinvent the wheel?
Clinton crony, Canadian Frank Giustra, put together world-wide uranium holdings (with the help of Bill Clinton) that ended up belonging to a Russian government agency, with everyone involved making some kind of financial contributions to the Clintons.
Uranium One is a 100% Russian government-owned company headquartered in Canada.
“Every article needs to reinvent the wheel?”
Certainly not, but something that important should be mentioned once in a while.
“Uranium One is a 100% Russian government-owned company headquartered in Canada.”
There’s some more new information. The last article tried to make it seem that it was a Canadian-owned company.
Usually I have all these basics this far along in a scandal. Maybe I just missed them.
The start of the Clintons’ role in 2005 is a few paragraphs down from the start of this article:
Shenanigans!
Vile, felonious shenanigans.
One can hardly expect that these types would engage in any restraint. After all, didn’t they just blow up over 300 of their co-religionists at a Mosque in Egypt’s Sinai.
At this link the guys in uniform don’t look like children, or even late teens. Don’t know if this refers to the same incident.
Restraint, to a jihadist, is a device that restricts movement.
