Former San Francisco 49er Colin Kaepernick took his woke SJW act to Alcatraz Island Thursday to take part in what has become an annual event among Native American activists: the Alcatraz Indigenous People's Sunrise Gathering, also known as "Unthanksgiving Day."
Kaepernick made a surprise appearance at the event, telling the crowd, [O]ur fight is the same fight. Were all fighting for our justice, for our freedom. And realizing that we are all in this fight together makes us all the more powerful.
[Does one need to point out the absolute absurdity of people "fighting for freedom" in what is already the freest nation in the world?]
He continued: "If there's one thing that I take away from today -- in seeing the beauty of everyone out here, it's that we're all getting stronger every day. We're getting larger and larger every day. I see the strength in everybody -- the dancing, the rituals. That is our resistance."
Kaepernick then repeated his line about fighting for justice and freedom: "We continue to fight for justice. We fight for our freedom and we continue on that path."
Suffice it to say -- he needs a better speechwriter.
Unthanksgiving Day commemorates the 19-month occupation of the island and former penitentiary by Native American activists from 1969 to 1971.
The 89 activists who occupied Alcatraz demanded that it be turned into an American Indian cultural center and school. The occupation ended after the government cut off their electrical power and telephone service and a fire destroyed numerous buildings on the island. A large force of government officers removed the remaining 15 people from the island on June 11, 1971.

Id love to send that POS to North Korea but I think the people of North Korea have suffered enough..maybe Iran can take him
Jerk.
Rather WATCH a dog take a crap.
Come to my house. I got that.
Native Americans really trashed Alcatraz Island during that occupation. Hoisting a middle finger in that general direction.
Do the cellblock locks still work?
This guy’s 15 minutes were over before the start of this year.
I’m so tired of his “Look at me” act.
He keeps coming up with juvenile stunts, and folks keep buying in.
He’s a snow flake.
What is really frightening. . . .this idiot has a following. . .of other idiots.
Perhaps he’d be happier back on the continent somewhere. Then he can help build it up instead of trying to tear this one down.
Ungrateful scumbag!
America and Americans gave him the opportunity to become a multi-multimillionaire as a very young man.
For playing a game!!!
And he shows his gratitude by pi***ng on the nation and the people who made it possible.
Of course if he was a better QB than 2 and 14...
Yes, he actually makes sense to some challenged people. And boy do you have to be seriously challenged.
Let that idiot tell us which nation on the planet he’s dying to live in other than the United States. Have him follow through and live there.
That would shut him up in moments.
Ingratitude is The Key to Unhappiness - Denis Prager (5½ minutes, but a jewel)
I don’t much care what he does, just as long as all the owners in the NFL keep him off their teams for the next 3 years. That will be enough time for him to lose whatever skills he had accrued, and then he can keep doing this look-at-me gig. The rest of us can point and laugh.
I do wonder what Ray Rice thinks of him having walked away from his contract.
You know, you have to realize just how corrupted this guy was by his girl-friend, to toss away that amount of money and a career that could have gotten better with time.
As I understand it, she is where he came up with some of this nonsense. Talk about a man being bad for a woman. This woman destroyed him.
He’s a big guy, and the can take responsibility for himself, but it seems to be pretty well known she inspired him to go this route.
He could be a starting quarterback, and instead he’s settling for doing twitter feeds for gratis.
KaperDICK has now reached the point of TOTALLY RIDICULOUS $HITHEAD!
Whipped.
