New York Giants defensive end Olivier Vernon continued his protest on Thursday night, kneeling during the national anthem before a game against the Washington Redskins.
Vernon, who has been kneeling since early on in the NFL season, appeared to be the only player to take a knee before the game.
He was one of several NFL players who knelt last week.
Prior to last Sunday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs, Vernon told Newsday that he would continue kneeling, even as criticism of the protests continues.

Lashing out like angry children at the nearest object. They’ll end up biting the hand that feeds them.
Looks like the entire Cowboys team took a knee during the game yesterday.
So, the best way to get us to understand the message is to get all the patriotic people mad at you. Odd way to get people on your side, but a lot of NFL players aren't too bright.
BTW, you can kneel until the end of time if you want. It's not going to help.

TV ratings continue to decline, though I haven’t seen Thanksgiving rating yet and I expect them to be somewhat better. Many people turn on the game as background noise on Thanksgiving but don’t really get involved in it.
It’s odd that some players think if they just keep insulting us we’ll finally “realize” things.
They are out of their minds. We already realize things and those things do not coincide with the protestors lies.

NFL revenue is way down...I don’t see it getting any better next year...
These morons think that the contract they sign when put on waivers because of their protests is going to be bigger next year?
Maybe the owners should bring in an economics teacher to explain how it works...

Since my kids were very young, they’ve always received a jersey or some other NFL garb for Christmas. Ditto their uncles.
