At least 155 people were killed and more than 120 wounded in a bombing and shooting attack against worshipers at a mosque in the northern Sinai after Friday prayers.
Egypt's government has declared three days of mourning in response to the attack that struck the Al-Rawdah mosque in Bir al-Abed west of El-Arish.
The attack was complex and involved bombs and shooting. Reuters reports that witnesses saw terrorists enter the mosque to kill worshipers during Friday prayers, when mosques see the largest attendance. The attack began around noon time. They also attempted to prevent rescue services from reaching the area.

Actually, Egypt is a strong ally to the GCC/Jordan coalition that is lined up to hold the line against the ambitions of the Shia Persian Mullahs in Iran.
All the above are American allies as was very strongly demonstrated by the recent red carpet visit of President Trump to Saudi Arabia
Those bombed are also de facto allies of Israel.
