Trump got into office because of Congress’s inability or unwillingness to do its job. The voters were so fed up, they turned to a reality TV star instead of the 20 politicians on the menu.

This concept more or less separates the men from the boys for me.

Trump is a multi-billion dollar real estate mogul. He is a self-made man. In the late 80s, he was down $150 million dollars. Today he's worth over $3 billion.

Reality TV star? That's all you see after all this time?

Dowd was right on that point. Trump was a real estate tycoon, but he never would have gotten much public recognition if that’s all he ever was. He was a gossip-page personality long before he was a TV star, and he used his public image perfectly to his advantage in politics.
