San Juan, Puerto Rico (CNN)Whitefish Energy is stopping its work to restore Puerto Rico's broken electricity grid because the company says it is owed more than $83 million by the island's power authority. Whitefish CEO Andy Techmanski told CNN that repeated requests for agreed payments were not met and there was no choice but to suspend work.

Their contract was terminated in October. Why this story now? I know for a fact that crews from the Jacksonville Electric Authority are there, third rotation now, so again, I ask why this story now?
I wonder that too. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Clinton corruption trying to damage Trump in PR.
What do you want bet these are democrats???
Get the PITCH FORKES and TORCHES ready, ...
PR,guess what they are socialist, they jumped a notch
SOS = Stupid Old Slut......................
Understatement of 2017: “It may have not been the best business decision coming to work for a bankrupt island,” Techmanski told CNN.”
The news media made much of the two employee electric company, but like many construction firms they hire what they need as they need it.
Now someone is trying to welch on paying them.
Lo siento. No dinero, no electricidad.
Sh*t happens when you piss your money away. It’s the whimsy of bankruptcy.
This whole story is weird. The CNN coverage has no hint that anyone else is working there.
I suspect the timing and amount of information in the article is somehow related to discrediting the current administration.
I can’t vouch for FPL, Florida Power & Light, but I remember hearing they have crews there as well. These and JEA were sent after the termination of the Whitefish deal.
“Whitefish CEO Andy Techmanski told CNN that repeated requests for agreed payments were not met and there was no choice but to suspend work.”
And that’s why you never work in PR until the money is in the bank.
That’s also why the island will never be fixed until they run off the present leaders and bureaucrats. All of them.
Who will now (not in the Fed gov) mobilize to PR to do what needs to be done proactively? Nobody. Because if you don’t have the money before you start, you’ll never get it - and if somebody gives PR the money to pay you, it will be stolen long before it makes it to you.
THAT is how business gets done in PR.
Viva La Revolucion!
Find the money to fix the island. Either that or watch Florida become Puerto Rico.
Puerto Rico is blessed to have access to America’s massive debt and money-printing ability, and America’s welfare system.
Otherwise, its a bankrupt, corrupt, latino-caudillo skimming culture like the rest of Latin America.
Where’s all that Soros money?
Soros wants to empty the island and then buy it on the cheap. His plan is working.
