Trump Returns North Korea to List of State Sponsors of Terrorism

WASHINGTON — President Trump on Monday officially designated North Korea as a state sponsor of terrorism, returning the rogue nation to a list from which it had been removed during the George W. Bush administration. North Korea had been removed from the list under the George W. Bush administration in an attempt to salvage negotiations for a nuclear deal.

The president made the announcement at the White House on Monday morning. North Korea will join Sudan, Syria and Iran as countries that the State Department identifies as ones that have “repeatedly provided support for acts of international terrorism.”

Administration officials had hinted in recent weeks that Mr. Trump was considering adding North Korea back to the list in light of that country’s nuclear ambitions and its cyberattacks aimed at the United States and other countries.

The president did not make the announcement during his recently completed 12-day trip to South Korea and other Asian nations. But Sarah Huckabee Sanders, the White House press secretary, had said Friday that reporters should expect an announcement early this week.

North Korea nuclear crisis: Putin calls sanctions useless

Russian President Vladimir Putin has said pursuing further sanctions against North Korea is “useless”, saying “they’d rather eat grass than give up their nuclear programme”.

The US said on Monday it would table a new UN resolution on tougher sanctions in the wake of the latest test of a nuclear bomb by the North on Sunday.

Mr Putin also said that the ramping up of “military hysteria” could lead to global catastrophe.

He said diplomacy was the only answer.

What really ticks me off about that guy is he sends our troops into Iraq on a BS reason and they gave their lives for it, were maimed for life for it, and when Obama gave everything they fought for right back to the enemy GW didn't say ONE word. Matter of fact he acted like best buds with Obama and Obamas husband Michael. But the second Trump runs, here he comes scuzzing out from under his rock to criticize Trump.
