Charles Manson, the hippie cult leader who became the hypnotic-eyed face of evil across America after orchestrating the gruesome murders of pregnant actress Sharon Tate and six others in Los Angeles during the summer of 1969, died Sunday after nearly a half-century in prison. He was 83.
Manson died of natural causes at 8:13 p.m. Sunday at Kern County hospital, the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation said in a statement.

He scared me to death in the sixties. I had nightmares about him.
Many were saying at the time, Well, he never really killed anyone himself. It’s important to remember that neither Hitler nor Stalin actually killed anyone themselves, but surely they were totally responsible for millions of deaths.
I thank God I lived long enough to see his demise.

Considering what he and his “family” did to the victims, they all got off light. California used to have the gas chamber for their death penalty. I wouldn’t have minded a bit if Manson’s life ended in it. But since that wasn’t meant to be, at least I can hope he’s burning in hell right now.

He will be on national mag covers next week, as the publishers force upon us their fascination with perversion, rottenness and evil.
I wish upon the publishers of this slime the same fate that befell this worthless dung beetle.

I’ve thought it’s the other way around.
I would be interested to know what the total cost was to the California taxpayers to keep not only him but the rest of his followers involved in those murders incarcerated for so long. It’s like the government said to the people “We are not going to punish the killers but instead punish the taxpayers”
If I remember correctly Manson was hoping for a race war, killing cops and communist revolution where he would be leader. He was in part prophetic. Interesting. Hope the dream dies with him and Trump in office. The struggle is real.
