Charles Manson, the hippie cult leader who became the hypnotic-eyed face of evil across America after orchestrating the gruesome murders of pregnant actress Sharon Tate and six others in Los Angeles during the summer of 1969, died Sunday after nearly a half-century in prison. He was 83.
Manson died of natural causes at 8:13 p.m. Sunday at Kern County hospital, the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation said in a statement.

Barker Ranch was isolated and psychologically oppressive enough without that Hell being introduced into the mix.
I’d expect Manson’s little parties out in Death Valley would’ve been decidedly less effective if it weren’t for the Deep State’s adventures in better psychosis through chemistry.
“Drugs and hypnosis. Ted Bundy also supposedly used hypnosis.”

It didn’t take a whole lot of that, though. You have to keep in mind the zeitgeist of the late 60s youth - they were looking for something to believe in anyway. So they were primed for whatever came their way. Many young people of the era would go on to join the “Jesus Movement” of the late 60s-early 70s, with a good number becoming today’s evangelical pastors and leaders.
“There was an old man who owned the ranch that the horrid family forced their way into and I dont remember his name.”

Spahn, it was “Spahn’s Ranch”. Was a western movie set back in the day.
Thank you for your response.
Bye jerk..Rest in Hell....
Probably Donald Shea, AKA Shorty...He was said to be the caretaker of sorts.
In a better time, he never would have made to a jail cell. He’d have been shot ... trying to escape.
Sh*tbag is right. And all the money his worthless life cost the rest of us over the decades. What a waste of oxygen.
I was 8 when that happened, but I remember the horror of it. Reading Helter Skelter years later only made it worse, as the details of what his lunatics did were made plain.
F***ing savages, all of them - should have been put down long ago.
Feel the Bern, Chuckie, feel the Bern..you are now in Hell...
Great news. The world is a better place today. He should have been executed 40 years ago.
Long ago.
Arkancide them: Yep. He committed suicide by shooting himself in the back of the head. Twice. Then jumped out of his cell window.
Manson was getting more mail than anyone else in the prison system... like 35 letters a week... he had become a cult figure for people born long after he had been sent to the slammer. Celebrity murderer.
La Bianca trivia... you two are good....I missed it..
1000 times less crazy than Mohammed.
You post some great links, thanks.
My sister lived in a commune up in Northern Vermont back in the Seventies, and Linda Kasabian (Manson Girl who turned state’s witness) lived up there with them.
No electricity or running water. They were apparently squatting on a huge tract of land on a river, and the owner of the land didn’t really care.
Rudolph Altobelli purchased the 10050 Cielo Drive property in the early ‘60s.. Terry Melcher was one of a series of celebrities who rented it from him... Melcher moved out when he split up with his girlfriend in early 1969
Wow, interesting story. Lucky she didn’t run into any serious trouble.
I don’t know if I could have slept at night, but my sister said she was perfectly normal.
I guess.
“Many were saying at the time, Well, he never really killed anyone himself. “
Manson was saying that at the time. And while he didn’t personally kill anyone at the Tate and La Bianca homes he had previously killed Shorty Shea and Gary Hinman.
Spahn Ranch. George Spahn was the elderly man who owned it, Shorty Shea was a ranch hand there. Manson killed Shea. Spahn was never harmed.
Well, it’s kinda unfair.
We’re Okies so, we get there a little Sooner...
