I was listening to radio ESPN driving home tonight. The two talkers, Whose names I did not recognize, were touting the days action as if it was the greatest most exciting Sunday in NFL history. It was blatant. Blowouts, rookie quarterback disasters, it just wasnt there, but to hear them pump it up youd have thought we had the return of Johnny Unitas and Jim Brown.
Yes I think they were told to hype the hell out of it to try to ignite enthusiasm in the fan base. Doubt if it works.

Thanks for the mention. I’m sure your right on target with your reaction to what you observed too.
No, it’s not working. Leaking 15,000 subscribers per days is rather difficult to spin.
I appreciate you giving us a report on this.
It rather funny actually, because the joke is on the NFL and everyone associated with it.

College football is a worthy replacement. It's still just healthy young men getting all sweaty for nothing.

If I were a collegiate (or even younger) football player with a possible NFL future, I might feel let down. Remember when the US boycotted the Olympics?
A LOT of players were let down!

When people look back what caused the NFL to collapse. It will be this moment.I think not so much.
The FACT that soccer has EXPLODED among our youth will do it!
