‘Too dangerous to take out explosives’ – Russian police find, blow up bombs in illegal prayer hall
Explosives found in an illegal Muslim prayer hall near the Russian city of Samara was eliminated right inside the building. Bomb disposal team deemed it too dangerous to take the explosives out.
Cops discovered more than two pounds of explosives – and 53 young men, including at least one ‘ISIS supporter’ – inside the unassuming property.
The building was captured on video being destroyed in a controlled blast by bomb disposal experts near the Russian city of Samara.
Footage of the explosion shows a massive part of the prayer hall going up in flames, sending plumes of smoke and debris flying into the air.
Experts decided to blow up the building using jets from a water cannon after deeming the explosives too dangerous to remove, RT.com reports.
Earlier, Russia’s special forces had stormed the prayer hall, leading to the detention of 53 men and the alleged discovery of the explosive substances.
The men are thought to be part of the ultra- conservative Salafi movement, which is within Sunni Islam and takes a ‘fundamentalist’ approach toward Islam.
The movement is ‘not registered with the regional Muslim community as an official house of worship’, the news site reports.
At least one of the detainees promoted ISIS online, while other members of the community are believed to be fighting in Syria, a special forces source said.
Cops evacuated locals and blocked traffic in both directions before carrying out the controlled blast.
Prayer hall or terrorist cell armory?
I’ll guess! Their biggest mistake is in removing the most deadliest weapon found inside the illegal prayer hall and that most deadliest of weapons is the 53 human time bombs that were allowed to remain ticking.
Alternate procedures:
1) Blow the place up during a service
or, 2) Make the congregants take out the explosives. If they go off, they go off.

The Russians usually play hardball with these guys. There is no reason they should have left that mosque for the hoosegow.
I saw two mistakes. 1) They didn’t level the entire building and 2) they didn’t leave the perps inside.
If its the same video I remember, Russian sailors had fun slowly raking the boat until it sunk. All of the pirates were handcuffed wrist to wrist with zip ties. The Russians know what to do with muzzies.
