Former Hillary Clinton aide Philippe Reines on Friday called it "strange" that Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.) waited nearly 20 years to say that former President Bill Clinton should have resigned as a result of the Monica Lewinski scandal.
"Her point was strange to me because she probably didn't come to this feeling and thought and position yesterday," Reines on Fox News' "The Story with Martha MacCallum." "Why she wouldn't have in the last 20 years vocalized it is strange to me. Nothing was stopping her."
Reines' comments came after Gillibrand told The New York Times in an interview on Thursday that the former President Clinton should have stepped down after his inappropriate relationship with Lewinsky, a White House intern at the time, came to light.
In that interview, however, she said that the controversy may have been overlooked in the 1990s, and said that sexual harassment and assault allegations against President Trump should be looked at.
Things have changed today, and I think under those circumstances there should be a very different reaction, she said. And I think in light of this conversation, we should have a very different conversation about President Trump, and a very different conversation about allegations against him.
Reines' comments on Fox News echoed a tweet he posted on Thursday, in which he called Gillibrand a "hypocrite" and accused her of accepting the Clintons' support for 20 years in spite of the Lewinsky scandal.
Gillibrand's comments came as a growing number of sexual misconduct allegations against prominent figures in politics, business and beyond come to light. On Thursday, a Los Angeles morning show host accused Sen. Al Franken (D-Minn.) of kissing and groping her without her consent in 2006. He has since apologized for his behavior.
Numerous women have also accused GOP Senate candidate Roy Moore of pursuing sexual and romantic relations with them when they were teenagers and he was in his 30s. He has denied the allegations, and has resisted calls from Republican lawmakers and officials to withdraw from Alabama's special Senate election.
16 girls are not children.
Code of Alabama, 1975, 13-A-6-70 (c ). In Parks v. State, 565 So. 2d 1265 (Ala. Crim. App. 1990), the Court interpreted the language of the statute, declaring that a female 16 years of age is technically not a child, but is one capable of consenting to sexual intercourse.”
...however it is not strange she lived 20 years and advanced in the Democrat party.
I remember how talking points by media during the Clinton years said that what he did with other women was his private life ~ and shouldn’t interfere with his public service... The moral schitzophrenia always amazed me
I saw the interview. This guy’s career will probably burn down with the Clintons.....

The Dems' faux outrage at Sen. Franken et al is designed to get him to resign, so he can be replaced by....another Democrat (MN's Gov is a Dem).
Then, they can turn around and, with the 'moral' upper hand, shame people into voting for the Dem and win the AL Senate seat.
That puts them one vote closer to blocking Trump's Supreme Court nominees.
I want to see her taking the briefcase of cash from the Russian.
Next week is going to be fun!
Man, too much winning!
Many forget that Gillibrand was hand-picked to be Hillary’s successor as NY senator.
And that Hillary and Bill campaigned for her and brought in financial contributions for her in the 2010 special election.
Now she is jumping on the bandwagon and Virtue Signalling by speaking out against Bill’s abuse of women.
But her statements don’t mean anything now.
It is even stranger and more hypocritical that anyone still supports Hillary Clinton.
She really got Doug Schoen’s goat - “There’s a special place in hell for her!” Hilarious to see them turn on each other.
What’s to be ashamed about? She’s just acting like a typical Democrap. Once someone is no longer useful, thrown them away. That’s just what she did.
Gillibrand had no problem using Bill Clinton to fund raise for her elections. She is a hypocrite.
Better late than never.
That way, no leftist will have to listen to "but Hillary...", for the next twenty years.
Gilly thought its safe to come out of the closet, she asked crier smuckey schumer her boss to confirm this
I saw that.
It was a bit of surprise to see how adamant he was.
Elvis was in the army when he first met and dated Priscilla when she was 14,was he a pervert?
