The Wall Street Journal reports that Mueller’s team issued the subpoena in mid-October, requesting documents and emails from over a dozen top campaign officials that include several keywords related to Russia.
A source familiar with the matter told the Journal that the subpoena would not compel testimony before a grand jury, but that Trump’s campaign was surprised by the order after voluntarily cooperating with previous requests from Mueller’s team.

Except it’s not just Obama holdovers. It’s the bush & clinton holdovers, too. You know, the 96% of the swamp that voted for Hillary. That’s called total corruption.

This is what they do. They ioffer to “cooperate. When you don’t give them what they are certain you have, they issue a subpoena, then, when the subpoena doesn’t give them what they want, they issue a search warrant because they’re certain that you were lying. I have a client right now in that very situation with the AFOSI. It is shameful.

Yes, once given an offer to cooperate, the answer should be GFY but say it nicely. This is now going to be a process crime. Probably someone answered some question and either did not know what they said it was wrong or made an oversight. Now comes the subpoena to seek the documents. When they don’t get it, they come with a search warrant with the full swat team looking for it and anything else in public view.
More than likely they knew what the answer was to a question proposed during an interview during which cooperation was sought. (lawyers are taught to never ask questions to which they do not know the answer). When the response did not match what someone else said, aha, we have a lie. Let’s leverage it.

What ever may have happened during the campaign, it is not impeachable. To be impeachable, it has to have happened while in office. JMHO!
